Actually I don't like fight movies, but my wife drug me out to see the movie. She likes Russell Crowe. I was not disapointed, it was great. Braddock was indeed a man of character and courage. I recall listening to the Conn-Louis fights as a youngster and the movie put me back in touch with boxing history.

The movie ended in a well deserved spontaneous applause. How often does that happen today? What an inspiring story about an amazing man and how he managed to keep his dignity, courage and principles under very hard circumstances. I am not a boxing lover, but this film embodies much more than 15 rounds of punches. It is the life of a man filled with honesty and courage who overcomes tremendous odds and shows his family, friends and , yes, everyman that miracles do happen to those who believe and persevere. Thanks for sharing this inspiring story to a generation far removed from the Great Depression and all the horror that came with it. Ron Howard has done it again, superb! We need more men like James J Braddock raising this generation of children.

I am crying already, just reading the reviews here! I am going to learn about your Father tonight when I see the movie, and from all I have read I know I shall come out overwhelmed by his greatness.

Saw the movie with my husband and friends. What an inspiring, American saga. To me, the boxing was just a sideline to a truly incredible life of determination, love and the awesome power of hope. A beautiful story and a blessed family for having such a wonderful man to call their own. Thank you Ron Howard for the vivid history lesson. Tof hanks for reminding us how hard times really look.

this movie reminds me of my mother and the storys that she told me about growing up in the great depression. that generation took pride in always doing the right thing no matter what. a generation of true americans

After watching "Cinderalla Man" last night, it will be required for my children to see this movie. What a wonderful story and history of the tough times endured by many during the depression. Thanks for making this story available!

I am not a fan of boxing and have never before seen a movie about boxing. But I am a huge fan of Russell Crowe, thank God! Seeing James Braddock's story has made a place for a new hero in my heart.

Mr Braddock is an example of what every American Father strives to be. He was a devoted husband that would do whatever necessary to provide for his family and teach his children the value of integrity. Thank you for telling his story.

In this day and age when marriages go by the way side in quick succession when couples have seemingly everything going for them, this movie was a true testament to what love between two people can accomplish.

This film was amazing. What an inspiring story! Well written and well acted. Three cheers for Ronnie Howard by helping to inspire Americans all over again.

Very inspiring movie! One of the best ways to remind one how far courage and determination derived from love and compassion can reach.

I came out of this movie tonight on such a high. This movie was so well done. In the end I found myself with my hands over my head, yelling, "Yeah Jimmy!" I couldn't help but cheer out loud. Hollywood needs to make more films that portray characters with the heart, with the humility, with the determination, with the VALUES of Jim Braddock. This movie has instantly joined the ranks of sports movie classics such as Hoosiers, Rudy, and Remember the Titans. Great Actors, Great Director, Great Story, Great Man! You inspire us all Jimmy.

Wow. I am still speechless after viewing this incredible film. Thanks to all who put it together, and I for once am speechless. I rarely get out to the movies, perhaps once a year, and can say, this is by far the best decision I've made in a long time. Quite possibly a life changing epic. Thanks again. I am on the verge of tears after thinking that this really all happened...the struggle, the over coming of such overwhelming odds...Wow, an inspiration to us all now, just as much as it was to America all those years ago... GO SEE THIS FILM!!!

what Beaddock did was amazing. he intertianed people and made them happy at a time where everything is depressing. as they said in the movie he got another chance at a time that nobody had a secounf chance.
