Watched the movie 100 times, it makes me appreciate everything I have. What a great fighter, but more importantly he was a great father, husband and patriot. I will watch the movie another 100 times! His message is clearly, never give up and nothing is impossible. God has true champion with him!!

Here's to the good ol' days of boxing, back when there were real champions. There aren't any real champions anymore. I used to sit and watch Ali with my grandfather, some of my earliest memories, I wish they would put Braddock in the EA Sports game, Fight Night Champion, he belongs in that roster with the greats.

Fantastic story. Wonder how much the portrail of Mr Braddock in the film reflects the kind of person he really was. No matter, his story is an insperation to many. A worthy champion in every sense of the word.

wow ames braddck is absolutely amazing i ust read about him and i cant believe the courage he had through his whole life and what he went through his whole life. i wish he was hear so i could tell him how much he really inspired me.

I just watched Cinderella Man and I was just blown away. I had never heard of James Braddock before this movie, but after it wanted to learn more. We need another hero like Mr. Braddock in these hard economic times, someone again to believe in, a man with character like this average working hero.

I just watched Cinderella Man for the first time last night. I had never heard of James J. Braddock, until I watched the movie. While it was still on, I Googled his name, and I landed on this site. I am so pleased to have watched the movie and to have obtained some terrific additional background from this website. I knew from the website that he beat Max Baer before the fight ended in the movie. It is clear that James J. Braddock was a wonderfully devoted family man who did whatever he could do to protect and support his family during the hardest times in the history of this country. I am looking forward to watching the movie again, and I'm proud that this great American has a website devoted to maintaining his memory in the hearts of the American public. Thank you so much for your website and your devotion to father and grandfather.

Watched Cinderella Man over the weekend for the 3rd time. What a great movie!! I know that the children of this amazing man are bursting with pride to be able to call him their father. What a strong, determined and kind man James J. Braddock was.

Just Watched the movie CINDERELLA MAN. What moving story. The Braddock family should be so proud of their Father and Grandfather's legacy.

Wow.....just watched the movie for first time...love to watch stories of all time greats!, .....and found it particularly interesting cuz my dad did some boxing in Brooklyn and while he was in the navy during WW1......I'm sure he knew this story!

I had never heard of James Braddock before the movie came out. I thought the movie was done very well. It not only tells the remarkable story of a boxer, but of a man, desperate to take care of his family. The end of the movie tells that he served in WWII. For that alone, I am thankful. God bless his family.

By far one of our favorite movies and story line! It really makes you remember what determination our immigrant ancestors lived by. It's what this country was built on and it is inspiring to see it!!

When I watch the Cinderella Man movie I cannot help but think of James Braddock the person as opposed to James Braddock the fighter. My parents were in Jim and Mae's peer group and the scene of returning the stolen salami touched a sensitive nerve with me. It's precisely what my mother and dad would have made me do given identical circumstances. To me the story was of of a decent and honorable human being more than anything else. Absolutely beautiful.
