A great film about a great man. Very inspirational. And wow! Russell Crowe even looked like him!!

In an era of such widespread hopelessness, it is truly amazing what an inspiration he was. He typifies that "never say die" spirit. This movie was excellent, I truly enjoyed it.

What a fantastic movie but even more remarkable is the courage displayed by not only Mr Braddock but by his wife, Mae. They're determination serves as an inspiration to us all.
Thank you to the filmmakers for bringing this important and fascinating story to the big screen.

Both my wife Mary and I saw the movie over the weekend and it was without a doubt one of the best movies I have ever seen. Living across the street from the Braddock family in Saddle Brook, NJ I now know why I have always admired the family and their values. It is a pleasure to know them.

My wife and I saw this outstanding movie tonight. There aren't many flicks worth seeing today. This is the exception. Russell Crowe makes any movie worth seeing, but this story doubles the enjoyment.

Great movie about a man who overcame economic depression as well as personal depression, driven by the love for his family. Truly inspirational. Loved the photo gallery. Can you put dates on those photos that do not have them? God bless his offspring. What a legacy he gave you.

I loved the movie, it is an inspiring story about a courageous man. Jim Braddock was not only a champion, but good example for the rest of us on how to stand up under adversity and do our duty.

Thank you so very much for sharing your story. What a great American Mr. Braddock was! He was the epitomy of strength, courage and morals...not to mention a great love for his wife and children. I saw the movie with my husband this past weekend and had to learn more about the man and his love of life. Thank you again for your generostity.

I recently saw Cinderella Man and wanted to tell you that I felt a special 'bond' with Mr. Braddock as my father was an amateur boxer and actually had a bout with another amateur during the warm ups for Mr. Braddock and Max Baer. I still have the poster that my father gave me with his name on it.
Thank you for sharing your family history with us.

This movie is an inspiring, emotional journey of one of our greatest American heroes during some difficult times in our country's history. Seeing how people lived and how someone could not only endure but overcome the Great Depression is refreshing in these times where people are complaining about frivolous things we could do without and saying the don't make enough money, etc.
"Cindarella Man" reaffirms the values of family, pride and support of loved ones and I'm so glad this movie exposed me to the social gladiator James J. Braddock was.
Tony Fronza - Downingtown, Pennsylvania USA [2005-06-27 14:04:08]
This was one of he best movies i"ve seen in the last 10 years. Any movie with Ron Howards name attached to it is good. It such strenght and detemination.
Tony Clarke - Bolton, Ontario Canada [2005-06-27 13:40:53]
I hope that viewers of this film don't fail to see the imbedded messages about the great depression. My father and grandmother told me so many stories about families who lost everything and were torn apart in the financial crash. In the late twenties America was buying Pierce-Arrows and ignoring the financial clouds gathering on the horizon. Now, we're buying SUVs...Stand by, America

My wife and I went to see the movie, “Cinderella Man,” this past weekend. Knowing the usual pattern of Hollywood boxing movies, we did not expect the movie to have redeeming values. However, we were pleasantly surprised as the movie kept our attention riveted and the hero was a “good guy” who triumphed in the end. Even though Max Baer, Jr., has complained that the movie did not correctly portray the character of his father, the movie is nevertheless one heck of an entertainment value for your buck.

I saw the movie two nights ago, I asked my wife to go with me last night. She was reluctant as she said she did not like fight movies. I convinced her it was much more than that, a true story of an American hero. Not knowing the story of James Braddock she was on the edge of her seat during the scene of the last fight. As we left the theater she was overwhelmed with what she had just seen. We both feel it was one of the best movies we have seen in a long time. I leve near Detroit, Joe Louis country, and one of the greatest fighters ever. After the movie my hat goes off to James Braddock as one of the greatest, ranking with the best. Also shown was the great human side of this man.

To be honest, I had never heard of James J. Braddock, but "CINDERELLA MAN" is the kind of movie I like to see. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. My friend and I who attended yesterday were cheering in the theatre "GET HIM! GET HIM!" when he fought Max Baer. It was heartwarming to learn about such a great human being. Mr. Braddock's story deserved to be told and was done so well.
