Despite the odds, his hard work paid off as he became the heavyweight champion of the world. We should all try to remember his perseverance as we face our own troubles.

This man proved, that whenever you are in a corner, come out swinging, and things will be alright.

This man, as shown in the movie and through reading his biography, has remained honest and hard working in a time where difficulties surfaced over his head. This is a quality our society today, frankly lacks. Thank you Braddock. Rest in peace.

Mr. Braddock's greatest fight had him against an ethereal foe, which he won. This shows his strong character traits and his ability to persevere.

In my opinion, it's the fact that this guy worked and fought with a borken left hand. Busted, hurts every times he moves. And still he worked hard, physical jobs, even pinned himself against guys that were being paid to hit him. Sure, the overall story of a new champion is nice, but it's his guts, bravery, and possible small amount of stupidity that makes him a great man to me.

This man has an amazing story! Even the Great Depression didn't stop him forever. I'm glad he's in the International Boxing Hall of Fame. He's definitely among the greats.
