Great story about the Bulldog

DVD was great and well done Jimmy!

My wife and I watched the DVD over the weekend and were intrigued to find out more about James and his family. A beautiful film and a remarkable story.

I just saw the movie--what a remarkable man and woman. The strength of their love was incredible. They and their children were more than worthy of every wonderful thing that came their way.

I just watched the movie last night and just had to find out more. What a wonderful grandfather you all had. The movie, CM, portrayed a fantastic man. A lot of work went into this website too. Sorry to say, I am not old enough to have seen any of his fights, but my father (deceased) was in high school at the time of your grandfathers title win, and am sure he followed it that day.

As just about everyone else on this forum, I've just seen the movie which I thourougly enjoyed - however, this isn't a forum for movie critics. My reason for writing is to express what a pleasure it was to see a few years of Jimmy Braddocks life. Its not news that society is faultering terribly these days. Morals and ethics are gradually becoming only words in a dictionary and not things that people live their lives by, but I think if everyone in the world had the opportunity to be inspired by this true gent, it would be a great thing. I have no idea how bad things were during the depression, and I don't think the severity of it can be portrayed to the T in movie. I would imagine that it was a lot worse than we saw in CM. Despite not having enough food, work, warmth etc.. Jimmy still taught his boy not to steal a piece of salami, marched him back to the butchers and gave it back. How many parents would do that nowadays? I could go on writing for a lot longer, but I'll probably bore you all. So I'll end with this: My words are written with complete honesty, they are not empty comments but things that I truely feel. Inspiration is too small a word for this giant man. I enjoy boxing and the physical endures that he went through were amazing, but its the man behind it that makes him an icon in my book. Such integrity! Regards to the whole Braddock family - Jimmy was great!! :-)

Just watched the dvd and was spellbound by the spirit of this great man, in a time of great hardship and adversity, he not only overcame the odds but did it with honour and integrity. A man I wish had the pleasure of meeting.

My husband and I just got done watching the DVD movie and we both felt inspired by the courage of your grandfather to struggle with extreme adversity, get a second chance at success and then to achieve that success! What a great story. Rocky and all the sequels rolled into one don't hold a candle to this movie. The world definately needs more men like Jim Braddock! Best wishes to your entire family.

What a hero! I finished waching the movie and all i can say that he really inspired me. Its people like him which gives us the motivation to do something great in life. I recently ordered for a personal copy of this movie and I am really interested in meeting the family members of this great champ. Is it possible? What a shame that Cinderella Man, the movie, did not receive the acclaim it deserved. James Braddock is a true American Hero and his story is what makes America the best country in the world.

My wife and I just watch the DVD and we very much enjoyed the story of James Braddock. It inspired me so much. He loved his family so much. To the family of Mr. Braddock he was truly a great America and family man.

A great inspirational story that not only lets us know about this mans life and the troubled times of it but tells us all that no matter how bad it may seem, with enough determination we can over come anything. Great movie and great message, but then Ron Howard always brings America great stories. Ron, you have been a positive part of America's family since your early childhood. Thank you and all of the talented people on your team both in front and behind the camera for bringing this great story to all of us.

Just watched the movie last night and was compelled to find out more. What a fantastic story about a fantastic man. It is almost unbelievable. Well done website too.

i have just seen the movie and i keep on watching it again and again tghis man was very courageous and my personal hero to get by to feed his family and put food on the table god bless jim and his family

This story floored me. I cried about four times the first time I watched it. America needs more men like this. This movie deserved Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and best Actress. It's to bad that all the idiots in Hollywood are worried about is trying to get across their stupid political and social viewpoints. Brokeback Mountain is not worthy to be mentioned in the same sentance as Cinderella Man. Thank you Jimmy Braddock for telling us all "Never give up!"

My Husband and I watched the movie last Saturday on DVD, and like many others, I was inspired to find out more about James J Braddock and his wife Mae, what a remarkable story of courage, honesty and survival. Congrats on a fantastic website, very informative, and Ron Howard has brought a Great Man's story into the hearts and homes of people all over the world, and well done to Russell Crowe for a very realistic performance

Is an honor to me to have known such a man (because of the movie). The courage, the determination and the strenght of will sets and example for all those who strugle to overcome weakness and difficult. May I honor this man by the blessings he and his family may always receive.

A man of will, a man of honor, a man of determination, a man that showed that the inner power allows us to beat our weakness, but a humble and trusted heart is needed to trully realize the power is in us.....may you all be blessed...thanks for releasing such a story, inspirational for us all humans on earth....
