Now this was one unbelievable man !! no.... not man A HERO ! I'm sad to say I never heard of him until after the movie came out. But now , after seeing and hearing the story , of the great Bulldog of Bergen. I can truly say , I give James J. Braddock all my praises and respect. And last but not least , I would like to thank his family for sharing this increadible journey with me ... from the bottom of my heart, I thank you !!! And to The Cinderella Man ; Thank you for youre courage , love and affection and for giving hope and dreams back into the hearts of millions of people !!

Everybody needs a Hero. Mr. Braddock has become that for me. I was struggling through grad. school with a family and had to swallow my pride and get Gov. assistance. When I saw the movie I realized that I did not have it so bad. Jim Braddock's story inspired me to get through the tough times. I would have liked to have met him. God Bless him and his family!

Wow! What a truly inspiring story of a man of great courage and character. Finally, a story about a true hero rather than some of the shallow figures we have on pedestals these days. God bless the Braddock Family for sharing this story.

But even now, long after the events and life of Braddock the hope still rings true.

With the command, will and decision oh what we can do; Braddock is a master story teller, actions are his words and a hero he remains.

As a boxing fan i was inspired by James J Braddock and as a family man i was also inspired by the loving commitment of wife Mae. The movie was a great insight to the struggles of the deppression. It's great to see the legacy continue through family members of this COURAGEOUS & loving family man. There should be more men like your grandfather is this world. Thanks and take care

I have just watched the Cinderella Man on DVD and it is one the best portraits of what can only be describes as a hero i have ever seen. Jim Braddock was truly an honourable and courageous man. I wish his family well and will never forget him.

I just watched Cinderella Man last night for the first time. The movie was done well. It is one of the best movies of all time. We need more Americans like Jim Braddock. What a Story! I have been looking online to find out more about Jim since the movie. Thanks for the website.

Id like to say thank you to the family of James J. Braddock for letting his isparational story be told. I have watched it 3 to 4 times in the month that i have owned the dvd and still find myself crying and inspiered at the same time. When you feel sad and things arnt going your way you watch the movie and think to your self dont be a sook you have nothing to complain about you have a roof over your head food in your stomach. Living in a world that is far from perfect it would be a better place with more corragous people like James Braddock. Im glad that there is a great web site out there so his legacy lives on.

I loved the movie. Your grandfather was an awesome man and has inspired me to learn more about him and boxing's history. Always think about Mr. Braddock and what he went through to acheive his dreams.

I'm a report for my Us History class right now what a great and fantastic boxers jimmy was and father he was for his family what a great man and the movie very entertaining it portaryed him very.

I've just seen the movie and it was wonderful and inspiring. What a loving, family man he was who a appreciated a supportive wife. A great example of how to live, love & dream!

I have just seen the film Cinderella Man. What an excellent film about an extraordinary man. James Braddock is a true inspiration. Not only did he never give up hope he also never forgot his roots.

I know it's been 20+ years since your father and grandfather Jimmy passed away, but the way your family carried his story forward into the future is incredible and definitely makes him very proud of you all. This web site just entered the elite list of one of the Top 100,000 sites in the world. P.S. Ron Howard and his team are to be commended for an excellent movie, too.

I don't watch much tv or see to many movies, its my belief that most of Hollywoods output is trash. I watched "Cinderella Man" last night and enjoyed it greatly. It was a fantastic story and I look forward to watching it again.

Dear James Braddock family,

I have seen Cinderella Man 2 times now and I have cried both times. I too am a semi "rags to, well, let's just say comfortable" story. I am 35 and have hopes of starting my boxing career after becoming independently wealthy. I own a boxing gym and I am working hard. I know that 35 is way to old but after seeing this movie last year I am overwhelmed by the power of the human spirit. What do I have to lose? I am disappointed in the world we live in. So much hatred, greed, cheating, lying, etc. I am proud to have been influenced by the best true American that ever existed. I didn't know James was a Marine. I too was a Marine (1990-1994). I would have loved to have met him. It is my humble honor to type this message to the people that have Jimmy Braddock's inspiring blood pouring through their veins. We just saw the cinderella man, what a great story! The movie was thrilling till the end... Very impressive life story, we enjoyed the stories and pictures on this site very much.

To the family of James J. Braddock: What a great legacy to leave behind....Such an honor to learn about this wonderful man. I just saw the movie and I was over-whelmed!!!! Although he almost hit rock bottom...he never gave up!!....this movie should be shown in every high school class room in America...What a great and honorable human being....may his family be blessed for generations to come.

truly an inspirational film i would love to know which part of ireland jims parents came from and were they alive to see their son win the title?

Just watched the film which was hugely enjoyable. So nice to watch a biopic like that and then find an extremely informative website that gives further insight into a true champion's life.
