The movie is a great way to get "housemoms" like me interested in boxing champions. Your family's story is so universal. Oddly enough I could relate to a lot of moments. I can't believe he went to war after the fights he fought! What a person!

I did not know much about boxing before I saw the movie "Cinderalla Man".
The story of James J. Braddock is one I will never forget.

During the movie, verses from the Bible would flash through my mind. Particularly, verses of how my God will not allow righteous men to fall or go unrewarded for their good deeds. Also, of the verse in Romans of how when God is for us, then who can be against us? I, too, was deeply inspired by this movie.

I just got through watching the movie with my husband and immeadiately got online to learn more about Jimmy Braddock. I was amazed at the love for his family and passion to win for them that drove him to be such a well known inspiration to many everywhere. His family must be very blessed to know him personally!!

The thing that impressed me most was the character of the man. This should be a must see movie in our schools. Another great movie from Ron Howard.

This movie obviously inspired a lot of us to find out more about the man behind the story (thus finding this website) - and makes me proud to be American AND Irish!n What incredible courage!

I watched the film on a plane back to Canada. It was inspirational and brought tears to my eyes on several occasions. He was a great fighting Irishman (for his family, for his roots, and for the American dream) and he made me proud.

Just watched the movie, very inspirational, when men were men. My great-uncle Fr. Paul Huber, who became a Benedictine priest was a professional fighter, out of Newark, He fought 30 professional bouts prior to becoming a Catholic priest. He fought in the same era as Jim Braddock.

What a wonderful and uplifting movie, made all the better by a wonderful man and family. Truth is better than fiction always. What a gift.

Wow.. what a great movie. It is so inspirational. He fought, for his family. He didn't run from the hard times as so many people would today. He was a true man, and there should be more people out there like him.

By far the best movie we've seen all year, if not our whole lives. It was truly inspirational to all. It showed the true values of a man and his family. Mae was equally as inspirational as James. God bless the Braddock Family. In today's society, we have lost a lot of what this movie has shown. We take life for granted...

I just watched the movie, and I was thrilled. It brought tears to my eyes. Having grown up with Depression parents, my dad talked about this fight. It was a privilege to relive it. I connected with my roots big time.
