What an awesome movie! We watched it as a family tonight, and all thoroughly enjoyed it, from 8 years old to 48! What a legacy Mr. Braddock left to his family. Very inspirational.

A true testament and yet just another example of how a man's will is stronger than anything else. If you will it, it can happen! Hunger! Desire! Will! I love it....

Just watched the movie and came to Google to see what I could learn about the man. Great web site, glad I found it. Too bad there are not more people like Jim in this world it would be a better place. His character, was even more admirable than his boxing skills. Must make the family very proud.

My mom recommend me the movie and I can't deny that I cried with that. I searched info about Braddock when he faced Baer in the movie because I was worried if he died in that fight. I didn't knew anything about Braddock and the movie impressed me a lot.
I identify with him, because I'm wrestler in Puerto Rico, and since too many accidents and the recent death of one of the WWE Superstars my family want that I retire from wrestling. That's why I identifies with Braddock.
God Bless You

Mr. Braddock in what I had read before was a man of great vision and the movie was was great in bringing out a more personal side of Mr. Braddock. I enjoyed the movie and from what I had read about him before the movie just increased my thoughts of him as man that had great family values.

I would like to thank all those people who were behind the making of the film "Cindrella Man" bcoz till then i have never heard about him(may be because my knowledge of boxing is limited to "Cassius Clay"). Boy oh! boy...now ask me who he is? i will tell you he was a great man. I was just casually searching his name on google. Then wasn't i surprised to see that this man was actually alive.I searched for very single charachter of the movie and found out that they are all legends in they on way. I would like to use this opportunity to thank his grandsons who are responsible for this website. I am extremely happy to know how all them( the charachters in the movie) loked like in real. His life was truly inspirational which tell's one and only one thing-NEVER GIVE UP.....NO MATTER WHAT IS UP THERE CHALLENGING YOU.

I wish I could say everything I felt about this movie and the man in a short review, but I can't. Before this movie, I knew nothing of any boxer named James J. Braddock. The fact that his real life was anything close to this movie, is an inspiration, and gave my appreciation of my family and blessings a much needed tune up. This character represents everything I want to be, and not at all because of what he did in the ring. This movie is a must see, because it shows the true meaning of the word family, which many people, sadly, do not know. James Braddock is the kind of father every child needs, and as magical as his "Cinderella" run in the ring was, it was overmatched by his strength of character. My favorite fictional character is Superman, which some people think is a corny character, but only because they can't grasp the meaning of either of the words inspiration or responsibility. Shortly noting that it is possible that you have the wrong idea about Superman because of some of the horrendous writing or unencompassing TV shows, and maybe you should look further into the character. The real thing that is great about Superman, is that he represents what is best in men. I tell you, there is no bad writing or anything unencompassing in this movie, and James Braddock is as close to a real life Superman as you will find. If i knew a better compliment, I would give it. Only someone without a heart in their body wouldn't love this flick. Aside from the character, this is just an outright brilliantly done movie. The acting, directing, writing, cinematography, and scoring are were flawless and Oscar-bound. I'll even tell you that I cried, and that was something I had never done for any film ever. "Cinderella Man" is special. To any of you that contributed to this, bravo, and thank you so much!

I have a vivid memory of watching my father and grandfather talking about about great fighters/fights they had seen.

This scenario would play out weekly as they watched weekly boxing on TV in NYC during the 1960's.

My grandfather often recalled seeing Jimmy Braddock fight Maxie Rosenbloom. It must have made quite an impression since he still spoke of it over 30 years later.

I enjoyed the fim and this site. Additionally, it brought back some good memories of my childhood spent with my father and grandfather. Thanks

Excellent Movie. Worthy of an Oscar Award. Russell Crowe did an excellent job, and the movie did an excellent job of showing the times, the circumstances and the character of James Braddock.
