I hadn't heard of Jim Braddock before I went to this movie and I chose to go see it because it seemed like a quality movie. I was not dissappointed...awesome movie!! One of the best movies I have seen in a long time...I was inspired enough to go do research on this man James J. Braddock. I almost cried about 5 times...I just wanted to cheer for Mr. Braddock when he won and laughed at the antics of his manager....I'm a 22 year old college student in south carolina....and I've been telling everyone to go see this movie.

I just saw the movie about your Dad, "Cinderella Man". It was a true inspiration. He and your Mom lived a "true love story". In spite of unsurmountable odds, he never blamed anyone for his circumstances. What a role model!! I encourage everyone to see this movie so they can see the Great Depression and how terrible things were and how your parents overcame them. James J. Braddock was a true hero to the "common man" - someone they could relate to. He was a good, decent person. You are so fortunate to be raised in a home with so much love. I truly loved the movie.

I saw Cinderella Man today and was very impressed with the type of man James Braddock was. My father had been a huge boxing fan for years and talked of the great skill and solid character of the Irish Champ. Dad would have loved this movie. I only wish we had more men today of the caliber of James Braddock. His story is an inspiration for all.

The most brilliant, inspirational, thought-provoking & spiritual movie that my husband and I ever experienced. James J. Braddock was truly an inspiration not only in his era, but will no doubt be one that this generation can look to in current times. James J. Braddock and his wife Mae never gave up when their luck was down and give us and every one of us the inspiration to go on no matter how bad the situation might be. Thanks to the family, Ron Howard, Russell Crowe, Renee Zellweeger including the entire Braddock family for sharing his story and this wonderful website to preserve his memory.

My husband and I just saw Cinderella Man, and we both left the theatre filled with emotion and awe. He was and is such an inspiration. A pat on the back to those who made this film possible. Hollywood needs to make more positive films based on real-life heroes like James Braddock.

My wife and I have just seen the movie and we are happy his great story is finally told. Should be required reading/or viewing of every student in our schools. Not just a sports story but ultimately a story of great love of wife and children. Thanks for this website !

I saw this movie with my husband, our daughter and son yesterday. We were all so touched by it. Not only was James Braddock someone for people to look up to, but Mae as well shows that when you love someone you stand by them. They may not always be doing what you want them to, but if you have faith, things will work out. There are just so many themes and lessons in the story, that I think anyone can relate to it!

Million Dollar Baby was a good movie but Cinderella Man is a great movie. Russell Crowe's and Rene Zellweger's performances were believable, heart renching and award winning. Ron Howard proves once again that he is an exceptional director. This is a must see movie!

The movie's reflection of the hardships endured during the Great Depression is sobering. However, I found the depiction of values in the face of despair to be uplifting. Excellent performances by Crowe and Giamatti. Thanks to Braddock family and Mr. Howard.

What an inspiration! The entire Braddock family made you want to stand up and cheer. The world could use more moives of this type about the lives of the common man and how they triumph and inspired those around them. Although not a fan of boxing, my sister and I were very moved by both James Braddock and his wife Mae. Their dedication to each other and to their children. It made me think of our own Father who would have been 18 years old the year of the Max Baer fight and I am sure he probably heard the fight on radio. The acting was wonderful. Hat's off to Ron Howard for another sensational movie.

A fantastic story and movie. James J. Braddock is a true hero and a favorite son of the Garden State. His story makes me proud to say I was born in NJ.

Me and my dad watched that movie together, and we both agreed the ending was like "The Red Sox winning the World Series" It was very hard on us emotionally, but even harder when he won, I was holding back tears! I say it was the best movie I ever saw and it is going to be a "Classic" in my household when I grow up.

Here's to both Mr. and Mrs. Braddock. The movie was more than just entertainment... It reflected their dedication to each other, to their children, and to the priorities that made them an inspiration to so many. Thank you for sharing the story of their lives.

The movie moved my boyfriend and I to tears as we both had heartfelt admiration for someone like Braddock, who inspired his family to be good, honest people by perservering through difficulties in life. His family was very supportive of him and he, in return, loved them very much and was willing to take any kind of a job to keep the family together. It was a great movie!

Many great movies tend to be about real life. Ron Howard did an excellent job in bringing Jim Braddock's story to life. As the movie depicts, Jim was a great father, husband, role model, and athelete. It was inspiring to learn about Jim's story.

I just saw the movie Cinderella Man last night. It was truly inspirational, and prompted me to look for more information on the man and the true life story of courage and dedication to family. In such a troubled time in our country's history as the Depression was, it should make all of us today appreciate what we have. The sacrifices this man made for his family were incredible. And his family's belief in him was awesome. Thanks to his estate for the information contained on this website.
