Good job, Ron Howard! What a great movie that portrays a strong family that endured hardship, stayed together and kept the faith. Please, please make more movies like thid. One note of advice: You could tone down the strong language.
To the Braddock Family: What a great role model James Braddock was!

God Bless James J Braddock...he fought a great fight in the battle of life.
I am a former resident of Long Island City, where he fought and my father was in boxing as a manager and trainer, there.

James Braddock's story represents the character of the good American hero. I saw the movie yesterday and I was deeply moved by his example. Men like Braddock never die..."they merely fade away". Thank you for your example. It will live for ever.

I saw cinderella man yesterday and i have to say, james had a very rough life filed with challanges that he overcame to help support his family on top of everything else in his life. He is,without a doubt, an inspiration to all boxers around the world and evryone who knows about him.

I have just started boxing training again at age 36. Not to fight but to get fit again after battling alcoholism for many years. This story has been an inspiration to me and I hope Jim's family are well and enjoy the film. A great man, a great champion. He was truly one of us.

Thank you for a wonderful and informative website about a very special man. I only hope the Braddock family is happy with the movie and the Champ was properly and honestly portrayed.

I just returned from seeing Cinderalla Man and was so inspired. If most of what I saw and heard concerning Mr. Braddock's character was accurate I admire him not only for his courage in the ring but most importantly who he was as a man, putting family and values first and foremost in his life. In this challenging era we find ourselves in, young people especially need to see and hear stories about people like Jim Braddock.

I don't know much about the sport of boxing or it's champions. I really went to see Russell Crowe, but after seeing the movie I was overwhelmed! I've been looking up all the information about Mr. Braddock that I can find. Great story, great actors and actesses, incredible champion! I'm going to see the movie again and again!

I visited this site after seeing the movie in a preview showing. At that time there was only 2 pages of comments. I'm happy to see how fast it's growing. I just want to say this was a wonderful movie. I hope the "Russell Crowe" incident doesn't turn people off to about seeing the movie. I've told everyone I know to go see it. Again hope to here from the Braddock family at Oscar time.

Saw Cinderella Man last night. Wow----just a great inspiring movie about a 'true' champion. I was extremely moved by Jim Braddock's dedication to family, great heart and spirit. I remember my father talking about him when I was a youth. However, I didn't recall the details and only knew that Braddock had won the title. Thanks so much to Ron Howard for giving us this awesome portrait of a special man and a real American hero.

Having grown up hearing that because I was Irish I had "Irish Determination" and could do anything I set my mind t. Further that being honest and having good values is how one should live their life. So I am so thankful this film was made. The story of James J. Braddock, was an inspiration and was a story that I'm so glad was shared. My thanks and gratitude to the Braddock family for sharing your memories and lessons.

My wife and I saw this great movie last night. When I left the theater I could only compare Cinderella Man to Patton and Bullit as movies I would walk right back in and see again. Russell Crowe is great and so was the man himself.

I saw the movie last night ! What an inspiration. Thanks you so much for showing this great story of the common man making it through sheer courage and tenacity. His family must be proud. As am I, to be one of the 'common man'.

Saw the movie last night-a wonderful, inspiring story. My father, who passed away in 1989, was a boxing fan and got me interested in the sport as a teenage girl. I'm certain he was a Braddock fan, as am I. I will always remember Braddock's tenacity, loyalty to his family, and heart. Thank you for sharing the experience with us.

I have a lithograph done in 1937 done by J.W. Golinkin of the Lewis/Braddock fight. Mr Golinkin was one of the "Ashcan" artists along with George Bellows and a Luks who did drawings of sporting events, etc. It is one of my prized possessions. Loved this movie and it brought back a lot of memories of my own childhood.

Wow, what a movie and what a guy!
By heart absolutely broke watching the scene where he asks for moneyto feed his family. Any doubts that I ever had in Russel Crowe as an actor went out the window last night! He truly put his heart and soul in that movie.
THanks for letting me share.

Awsome movie! One of the best I've seen in a very long time. What a wonderful, inspiring true story. If only the athletes today could have an ounce of Jim Braddock's heart, sole, drive, and love for the game and their families.

Saw the movie Cinderella Man on June 3, 2005 (the day it was released in this area). What a wonderful story - what a good, honest family man. The love for his family jumped from the screen and into my heart. I am not a boxing fan, but I will always remember his story.
