James J. Braddock - Guestbook

James J. Braddock, World Heavy-Weight Champion

Welcome to the official guestbook of the James J Braddock website. Due to spam, we have been forced stop guestbook entries.

have been a fight fan all my life and seen this movie last night. after viewing the pics (ie. James in the Restaurant with Baer) it's easy to see that the movie scenes were pretty genuine. James Braddock was a Lion Heart, and a Gentle Man, a real asset to the Sport... I can only think of a couple that even come close to that. The family did a great job on this site, and it's plain to see they have the same great qualities as James. Kudos to Ron Howard. A great American Film, in a time that we need to see what a Great American is........

My son and I saw the movie last night
and we loved it. I can't wait to till my
husband and my 2nd son see's it. Ron Howard captured the mood, and how it was during that time period. The struggles, and hard times that the US was going through. Jim was a great
father, husband, hard worker,a man w/integrity & a man that gave everything he had for his family. Gave his children all that he could. It reminded me of my father. This movie
was GREAT!!!!! It deserve to win at the Academy Awards. Also, this website is a wonderful tribute to your grandfather. You have all done a wonderful job. God Bless you all.

I just returned home from the movie and can not get it off my mind. What a fabulous man & American Jimmy Braddock was. I am completely moved by his integrity, determination, and his love and devotion to family. WOW what a hero and inspiration! Hats off to Ron Howard and his flawless cast for telling Braddock's story in such a brilliant way. After creating this masterpiece Howard has proved not "ALL" of the Hollywood crowd is morally bankrupt. Certainly this movie deserves some academy nominations and if that doesn't happen...then it is what it is...HOLLYWOOD'S OUT OF TOUCH WITH AMERICA!

I didn't see the movie yet. I enjoyed looking at the pictures & all the facts about him. He was a great person & it is a sham there aren't others like him. He struggled & made it. He is someone to look up to.

What a man. What a story. What a movie!!! I'm Hispanic and Irish, and I've always remembered my roots. I know surviving is tough when we're not born rich, but I know suriviving is tougher without love. Braddock showed the value of loving God, his family, and his country. I'm still moved by what I saw last night at the theater. I hope young men around the country are moved by a message that is so timeless: work hard, love your family, and keep trying.

God bless you for honoring your family and your grandfather's legacy with this website. I came away from the film with a reminder that what really counts is faith and love and integrity. I think your grandfather's story and character (and your grandmother's faith and devotion to family and God) are a much needed inspiration in our spiritually thirsty country today. Thank you

i just left the movie and feel exhausted. my parents grew up in the depression and seeing this movie just reminds me why i was so lucky to have such great parents. parents who cared. it was good to see that portrayed on the screen by these Irish immigrant families who know the true meaning of family and love and loyalty. the story without pounding it over anyone's head was able to show that it was Jews and Irish who were on the bottom and had to fight and than it showed the blacks starting their fights until present day it is now the hispanics. a movie like this can be the best socialogy class in the world, in terms of what a good caring man would be willing to do to make sure his families could survive. this book and movie will be a
big reccommendation by me to everyone
