I love this movie!!! I sawit for the first time about two years ago, and fell in love with it. My daughter loved it so much that I bought her the dvd for xmas. I also think that Russel Crowe in an amazing actor. A great story and an amazing man JJ Braddock was.

An amazing, strongwilled and determined man, an inspiration, and a hero. Rest in peace and you will never be forgotten Jimmy

Loved loved the movie, I usually hate someone telling me the ending beforehand, but had to find out if he won the Max Baer fight, and found this website. A great man, and thank you for his background.

Having just watched "Cinderella Man" for the 1st time, I am in awe of J J Braddock - what a man. Where are the Broddock's of the 1930's here in 2009........we need more of 'em!!!

Just saw the movie 2nite on the telly,what a great gutsy and admirable man.Wonderful human qualities loving dad and husband.A true fighter to the end he stole my heart knowing he was fighting for 'milk' to give his young family the best in life.Love him !!

I seen the movie around 20 times and I still sit nervous when they are about to tell the "winner" in the bear fight.
And always the tears comes flooding.

JJB won the heavyweight championship before I was born so I didn't know much about him until I recently saw the "Cinderella Man". It was great. I enjoyed learning about this wonderful man so much that I wanted to know more, hence my coming to this website. It is a great site and does justice to this great man. JJB set a wonderful example for his family and the entire country showing that hard work and desire will allow your dreams to be fulfilled. Congratulations.SFU3

I just had to google this man after seeing the movie. I thought the movie might have gone overboard with Braddock's nobility. I thought there might be a LITTLE dirt or scandal--drinking, abuse, philandering?
NO! A genuinely decent, courageous human being!
I'm glad have heard his story and I know his name.

Need more James J. Braddock's in this world!

I saw Cinderella Man for the first time last night. Just never got around to it before. Wonderful movie and testament to a very fortunate family. I just wanted to pay my respects and express my appreciation for for the Bulldog.

I was very interested in knowing if I may be related to this man. My maiden name is Braddock. My grandfather is Claude Nolan Braddock who passed a few years ago, and his parents were Harry & Della Braddock. We are from Florida. Any information that I could get on this I would be very grateful, or if you could point me in the right direction. I have always been told that most of the Braddock's are related in some way or another. If would be great to know if I am related to such an inspirational man.

What an inspiration the Jim J. Braddock story is!! If only we could all live with such determination and faith. I was touched to see that his grandson Jim III and family continues to carry on his legacy. He was so thankful for his country and accomplishments despite all he had been through. God bless all his family and fans. Let us all remember to cherish life and faith as Crowe displayed as Jim J. Braddock in the movie Cinderella Man!!

Wow. How proud you must be of your heritage. My son is 4th generation army combat vet.I am Vietnam combat heicopter pilot, highly decorated. I takes alot to get me to tears but your grandfathers story (and grandmom) did just that. What a wonderful story of courage and determination to inspire anyone. Saw the movie which brought me to the website. Thanks for allowing me to vent my feelings for your heroic family.

What a powerful movie !! I have seen it 4 times and everytime I have to catch my breath over the absolute resolve and courage of this great man. You can do anything when it comes to taken care of your family and living your dreams.... This movie has inspired me to continue to work hard and finish my 28th year in the Navy.... Such a great film. Crowe played this character with such heart and passion. I am convinced that he channeled Braddock's spirit and energy. What a heartbreak he endured, his pride on the line, to seek help in such a desperate time. He was a true man, if there ever was one. Loved the film, cried many times. What a guy Braddock must have been. Thank you for this website.
