Exceptional & inspiring story and movie... It's very much a mystery as to why the movie has gotten off to a slow start, but hope now that the Star Wars hype is slowing to a crawl, James J Braddock and the movie Cinderella Man will both gain the notoriety each so richly deserve. It seems that Braddock’s inspiration, to a then depressed country, has been grossly forgotten and overlooked. One could only hope that today’s heroes have such moral clarity, driving fortitude and refreshing family values. Great Web Site!

Saw the movie and was more than impressed with Jim's tremendous ring ability but more impressed with his wonderful character and the character of his family. Makes me proud to be Irish.
I also think he was the best Marine the Army ever trained.

The movie appeared to tell the story of Jim, the boxer, father, husband, human being, and a great tough Irishman! Truly moving, and an introduction of someone to emulate, even in today's times.

I saw the movie last week-end with my wife. I knew of braddock the fighter
I was a fighter myself. I did not know braddock the man. He was truly a great
human being and an inspiration to our country during our hard times.

A story that stirs the emotions of the audience can typically become a classic film.
The Cinderella Man is such a story. Most can relate to a scene or two in this film. For my wife it was the fried boloney steaks that her own impoverished family ate to keep from going hungry. For me it was the love of a father for his children, swallowing his pride, to keep his family together. James Braddock is most certainly an inspiration to us all, to work hard, never give up and especially to know what is most important in life – to love,
be kind to and cherish those who mean the most to you.

I just wanted to say the movie was wonderful. James Braddock was a wonderful person and I admire him very much. Even though I wasn't around at the time that he was alive, I have learned about the person he was through my grandparents and great grand parents. He was GREAT and the movie is too.

I just wanted to say that the movie was really good, great in fact. As a resident of West New York all of my life, it gives me a sense of pride watching the movie. There is even a park on 80th street (North Bergen, NJ), which is named after him. I never knew til now who it was named after, and it is a pleasure now knowing. Take Care and God Bless.

My wife and I are big movie fans and we went to see "Cinderella Man" last night because we felt it would be a really good movie. "Really good" is an understatement, it is a "great" movie. James Braddock was quite a man, a true hero in the ring as in life itself. His courage and loving ways is an inspiration to us all. I found myself wanting to know more about James Braddock and thereby found my way to your website. He would have been very proud of both the movie and your website.

We saw Cinderella Man yesterday and loved it. Your father and grandfather respectively was a wonderful man and in our opinion hero. He had his values and priorities in order. Thank you for sharing his beautiful story with all of us.

My mother has not been to a movie in 30 years, but we made the 35 mile trip to a theater last night to see Cinderella Man. It was my second time to see the movie and I was moved just the same as before.
One of the most profound effects of the movie to me was the effect that James J. Braddock had to strengthen the faith of many of those who had lost their faith. I look forward to someday being in heaven and hearing how one person, who was willing to risk it all, brought so many togehter in prayer and faith.
Thanks for the model of faith and family. I have re-evaluated how we spend our time and money in light of the story.
God Bless you and yours-

Just saw the movie last night, first time i ever heard of James J. Braddock and its one of the best stories ive ever heard. It is truly a humbling experience and makes you realize just how well we have it in todays society. The Great Depression always amazes me with how much people suffered and how they continued to stay strong. James J. Braddock and his family are truly inspiring. I loved the story. My fiance loved the story and his family loved the story. It is one that touches your heart forever. Its stories like this that help put your faith back in society and know that there are great people with great stories out there.

After watching movie I had to admire his committment to his family and his courage to come back after so much adversity and I admire him for his loyalty to his country. It seems that Mae was such an important part of his life but you had no photos of her and the children. How about adding some to the website? Thanks and blessings.

Just saw the movie last nite... Truly insipiring, James obviously had alot of courage and class. I also admired the way he put his wife and children first. As sad as it was to see the hard times he went though, it was clear that ones character, tenacity, pride and love for ones family drives us exceed past our most frustrating moments in life. Thank you James Braddock, Your life has been an inspiration to all of us!

I am so glad the story has come to light. As a young boy growing up with my grandfather in Jersey City. I heard the stories of the depression and as well as my Grandfather and his brother boxing for money. I heard of James Braddock from my grandfather and I am glad others are hearing of him through the magic of Mr. Ron Howard. I am going to see the movie today.....I expect to relive my grandfathers memories

Cinderella Man was a fantastic movie! It exhibits the type of tenacity and inspiration seen in so many of our great Americans. James Braddock was certainly one of those individuals. Until the movie, I did not know much about his history, but I feel that Russell Crow and Rene Zellwegger must have captured the true essence of their story! Thank you to Ron Howard for making a quality film that inspires at the same time.

My husband & I saw "Cinderella Man" last night and were so moved by the story that we had to find out more about James J. Braddock and his inspiring story. When I was a child I experienced extreme proverty and witnessed the kind of courage it takes to overcome and survive such circumstances. The scene when Braddock had to ask for help in order to save his family was played perfectly. Pride can carry you far in the world but there comes a time when pride has no place, Russell Crow's portrayal of that moment will stay with me for years to come. Thank you for sharing James J. Braddock's story with the world, as it is the story of all of us who have struggled & survived.

I saw the movie today Cinderella man. The best movie I ever saw. I am of Italian decent and I have the up most respect for Rocky Marciano, Jack Lamata and Rocky Gratciano. They couldn't hold a candle to Jim Braddack. He had almost 100 fights and came up through the ranks as a middle weight a light heavy weight and as a heavy weight...he is the best of the best. If "Cinderella Man" has any kind of truth to it and I know it does, Jim Braddock should be a saint. Maybe a man with nothing to lose has everyting to gain, I only wish I had the heart and courage Jim Braddock had. I had heard of his story before, but I have to read all I can on him now. Please everyone, support this movie and spread the story of Jim Braddock because he is more a hero than all the Michael Jordans the world will ever see.
