I am watching Cinderalla Man on TNT and had to look up what type of man was Jim Braddock. Awesome site and awesome man. Kudos to him! Truly a good, decent man.

I am actually watching the movie as I type...I just wanted to know more about this incredibly decent man, James Braddock. I love the time period that the movie portrays (even though it must have been beyond hard for many people) Thank you for sharing this net site about your dad, your grandfather etc..

I have a copy of the movie "Cinderella Man" as part of my video library, and have watched it several times, however, tonight I watched it on television, and it's as if I am seeing the film for the first time.
Just an incredibly moving story with first rate acting.

I must say when viewing it tonight, I thought of my Grandmother and Grandfather who are now 97years old and witnessed the depression first hand. To this day my Grandmother still tears up when she talks about that period of her life.

What a difficult period it had to have been for the Braddock family to survive. James Braddock was an honorable man with unmatched intestinal fortitude that should never be forgotten. A true patriot. The United States needs a James Braddock today.

I just want 2 say that true story's like this 1 should always B on people's lip's & in2 our childrens ears! I feel like a better person knowing that this man & his family will always live on in our minds & hearts! Long live the underdog:)

i was told james braddock was my great uncle my grandmother was bobby lue braddock she was the daughter of bessie and calvin braddock. could you please respond and let me know if this is accurate and if it is, if i could have family history and family tree. thank you so much.

Jim Braddock was my hero since I was a boy and read the book" The Sweet Science". I had the great fortune to meet the champ when I was a sixteen year old amature boxer. I always tried to pattern myself after him both as a boxer but more importantly as a dad.

A regular man think that his destiny has been wrote by a superior hand… but a superior man, made his own!! Jim Braddock, shows with his example, that he wrote his own very destiny with bravery and faith on himself.
When he was down, had the courage enough to accept his situation and started and never retreat nor surrender till to get what naturally belongs just to him… VICTORY!
The guy fought by his family like a real man does it… no matter what.. “Always a Man, Always a Gentleman”
Guys.. What a Genes you have on your own blood! You have to be very proud as a only very few can be!

Yesterday I lokeed at the movie her in Sweden. Just saying, a fantastic hardworking man, taking care of him self and his family.
The movie was just great...

This really is a heart-touching story, I cried several times during the movie.

It has something more to it, it has given me new strength and new hope, to continue, it is never too late to succeed.

A fantastic man shown in a great movie!

I just watched Cinderella Man, I did'nt think I would like it because I am not a big fan of boxing. Gosh was I wrong. The life story of James Braddock was heart warming. What a husband and father. I know his family must be so proud to have such a great man in their life. I only wish I was around to be a part of this history of boxing. God Bless and may he never be forgotten.

I got my love of boxing from my Irish dad. He always said the idea was not to kill your adversery, but to score points. James J. Braddock I had never heard of, but what a wonderful humble man he seemed to be. Family seemed all to him. A lesson to be taken into todays sad sad world.

I wish i could have met James J. Braddock in real life it would have been the greatist thing in my life
