I must admitt I am not a huge boxing fan, and I had never heard of James J. Braddock before I watched Cinderella Man(and I was born and raised in Jersey...shame on me). However I am now a James J. Braddock Fan. What a boxer, Husband, Father, Friend, and Human being. This man has inspired me and many others. I wish there were more Men like Braddock in the world, it would certainly be a much better place. Thank you Braddock family for sharing this site and all the photos of Jim and his family. Thank you Ron Howard for making this movie, Cinderella Man is definatley one of my all time favorites. God Bless !!

my father knew braddock.on a constuction site after he left the ring,a man insulted braddock for losing to louis. braddock belted him.,knocked him down,and said i am old,but not that old. jersey irish are tough cats.

James Braddock is amazing. He is an inspiration for many people. The movie that was based on his life was so moving and touching. I can only hope that my husband is the same type of man as Jimmy Braddock!! He is a legend!!

I just watched the movie "Cinderalla Man" for the second time and it is as good as the first time. It prompted me to search the net and I found this wonderful website. From this site I can see how much family pride and love there is for James J Braddock. He obviously cared for his family very much. He boxed for them, for "milk". Mr. Braddock's life showed how one can overcome the many obstacles that life throws at us. May he rest in peace.

after stumbling on the movie a few months ago and now finding this sight i am just so blwon away. Jim braddock an all around great guy a true champion in so many ways.
i have to tell you all over 1 1/2 years ago i lost everything my business, my condo, my furniture . etc was left with the close on my back and an overdue rental car. i struggled for a year or so but i have to say . i rewatched the movie about 6 weeks ago it all started to click . this man jimmy braddock wow inspired me to try harder and also to keepmy self on an even path in all areas. thank you so much jim and thank you to his grandkids and family for this sight . btw i think i will have my business and old life back by jan 1st
and a lot of that is thanks to the movie and his life and of course the great film

This is truely an inspiring story. At age 40, the movie "Cinderalla Man" is now my favorite movie. I have shown the movie to my high school classes to inspire them, and to learn about dealing with adversity, the true meaning of "family" and as a short history lesson as well.

Just watched the movie and what an amazing man and mentor for children of today. Although not the only person to struggle and keep his familly together through the depression the man is an inspiration to us all and a model for children to look to for the values that really count in the world today. All of you that are his decsendants must be as proud as a person could be to have someone with his morals and beliefs to look back on. I truly feel after the movie that I knew the man a little and that puts a warmth in my heart that will stay. I wish all the best to ALL his family.
