Watched the movie "Cinderella Man" and was completely floored by the courage and determination shown by both James & Mae..

Have watched the movie atleast 6 times now and it still manages to evict the same interest it had when I watched it the first time..

Have seen this movie 3 times and it still has me sitting on the edge of my seat. A truly remarkable family man. Russell Crowe did a fantastic job portraying Mr. Braddock. He was trained for this movie by Wayne Gordon, another Maritimer. And to have his granddaughter also appear in the movie was spot on. Great site, a fitting tribute to a hero to the people of his time.

Wonderful website to perpetuate the memory of a great man. I hadn't realised his last competitive fight was a victory against one of the greatest of all British heavyweights, my fellow countryman Tommy Farr.

We here in Mass, also have a rich tradition in boxing. The Mrs. indicated I would like the movie & I did. Rooting for the underdog is tradition. One always wonders where the movie takes over from the reality.It's refreshing to see the kids and grandkids carry on the tradition of a fighter that made it.

An inspiration for all proud men. Thank You!

Fantastic film a great achievement what a great man he was!!

Having seen the film and now found this site I've come to realise James Braddock wasn't just a great boxer but was also a great man. Just goes to show you can never keep a good Paddy down.

The movie was wonderful. After Learning about JJB from the internet and the movie, it is obvious what a truly remarkable man he was. He fought for MILK, that says it all. I am honored to share his birthday, June 7.

What a truly amazing and inspirational story! My wife and I watched the move last night, and I commented to her that, though I a huge fan of the first "Rocky" movie, "Cinderella Man" is a much better movie. True stories usually are. All the best to your family, and thanks for sharing part of James J. Braddock with the rest of us.

JJB was a great man, fighter, husband and father. He went through many challenges in his life, but he came back strong in each one of them. The movie was a great inspiration for its viewers. He had the " Never Say Die" attitude, determination and courage to succeed in life. May God bless you and your family.

Thanx to the people who got the idea to make this movie about that great man,great fighter.Without this movie I have to admit I would died ignorent,without knowing about tis great person.But thanks god I will not.So let me pay my respect to the Man right here right now.

For us Filipinos, Cinderella Man serves as an inspiration and a role-model of one who prevailed over incredible odds. We, Filipinos, are known to have the tendency to favor the underdog.

What can be said, about the fightin' Irish bulldog- Big Jim Braddock... A father, a husband, an athlete, a soldier--- A true man. God Love him, and his family.

Just wanted you to know we saw Cinderella Man last night Jan. 27, 2007 and it was the most amazing story we have seen. I follow sports but my father was a big fight fan. He passed Aug. 11, 2006. I used to watch the friday night fights with gillette blades and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer as the commercials. I was around 7 or so. Peter DiScuillo III
