I watched the movie and saw the terrible conditions in those years. James J. Braddock Is a brave man who inspired whole country. He is a great example that a responsible family guy would do so much for his family. He even risks his life.

Totally a HERO...

James Braddock was a great man. I am not surprised that his children are successful. He is still inspiring people today. A great example of class and courage.

I just watched Cinderella Man again! What a guy and I'm not talking about Russell Crowe. James J Braddock lived his life in a way that that everyone can take encouragement from. Nothing should stop any of us from realising our dreams.

Unbelievable man, unbelievable story. A true inspiration to us all. His story makes us reassess our own integrity and values.

An inspiring story and a great movie. I've seen it well over 20 times and it still gives me goose bumps and gets me choked up! After watching it, it's hard to complain about anything without feeling stupid.

Wouldn't you know it, it was an Englishman, Bob Stanton, that gave me this DVD, The Cinderella Man, said it was a great flick. He wasn't kidding. Yeah, I remember Dad talking about him, he was a year younger than Mr. Braddock. Like all the other responses in this site, who wouldn't be impressed with this man's story? I especially thought the scene where he returned the money to the state that he received while he was on relief, said a lot about the integrity of this man, James J. Braddock. He certainly was much more than a heavy weight champion boxer.

I've never been a big fan of boxing, but rented "Cinderella Man" anyway. I'm so glad I did...James Braddock's story is one of the most inspirational I have ever heard. What an amazing man he was! Thank you (his family) for allowing his story to be told.

Just watched the biography of James, what a hardship he went through and still found his way back on top. The guy had a heart of a lion. Sorry to hear only one child survived. James would be my dad's age so I know some stories of the depression and how tough times were. God bless the families who stuck together. My deepest respect for James and his family.
