just watched the film for the first time last night what can i say, what a man a credit to his family if only there was more people out there like him.what an inspiration.

I just finished watching Cinderella Man for the third time. What an inspiration to his family! Jim Braddock was a humble man who loved his wife and kids so much that he risked his health/life for them. He had so much pride, but would forego it to ask people for money so he could keep his family together. What type of man would pay back the government for the public assistance he reecived - a man of true character that everyone of us can be proud of!
God bless his family for telling his story because we all can try to emulate his "goodness".

We may all root for spider-man, and all love superman, but there will never be another cinderella man...a real everyman super hero.

I have just watched the film for a 2nd time. From start to finish, a story that could inspire anyone in the deepest pits of life. Jimmy i'm so grateful i got to hear your story, for me the hardest part was when you had to ask for help. Most others would have given up but you didn't. i want to pay my utmost respect to one of our greatest fighters, but most of all a father i only hope i can strive to become. slan. abhalie.

What an inspirational man!! James J. Braddock is the model father, husband and friend that we should all immulate. The courage and integrity that Braddock showed during tough times( and nothing was as trying as the times during the depression ) needs to be a lesson that all husbands and fathers should copy. I only wish that I could have lived during those times. The world today needs more Jimmy Braddocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watched the film for the first time. Half an hour in my mum called me to let me know one of our good friends had passed away. I cried ever since but this is gonna give me inspiration!- In respect of Jamie - 19/08/2006

I watched the movie for the first time last night. What an inspirational and moving story. Mr. Braddock was/is truly a Super hero. I wish our so called sports heros today had just an ounce of his character and courage. Thank you for sharing the story.

A great movie about an even greater man whom I really did not know anything about. I intend to change that immediately as I can see what a great American Jim Braddock was. Such an inspiration to everyone. God Bless America!

Watching the movie now, he just beat John Henry Lewis. Prior to this, never heard of the Braddock or his story.

What a man. My husband and I watched "cinderella Man" last night and I was really moved. by Jim Braddock's modest demeanor and inestimable courage. Even if only half true he was a remarkable man and one we should all try to emulate.

As a boy I can remember my Father & his cronies cheering on Braddock. One of my Uncles claimed to be a distant cousin. God Bless the Irish!

I have always believed that heroes make this world a better place to live. I had never heard about your father till the movie. It is the only movie that I watch ever since. I have worked harder and better since then. I hold him as my superhero.

James Braddock was a hard working fighter that finally got a chance and made the most of it. His is such an American dream come true!

What an inspirational man and woman James and Mae were. I've seen Cinderella Man more times than I can count. It is such a wonderful story of triumph over despair made so much more poignant because it's true. I wish they were both still with us to help remind or teach people just what Good and Decent really means. Thank you to the Braddock family for letting us all become a part of your family, if only for a brief moment.

I saw 'Cinderella Man' for the first time last night. I just had to drop you a note to say what an inspirational and honorable man Mr. Braddock was...not to mention a tremendous boxer with the heart of a lion. As a proud Welshman, it is interesting to see that Mr. Braddocks last fight (and win) was agains Tommy Farr....a Welshman!

a boxing fan all my life. james never got alot of publicity. i love the movie and have seen it 4 times. and the fellow that played joe gould did one of the finest acting jobs i have ever seen. the website is wonderful. thanks

I enjoyed the movie and researched the real story. I found that we share the same birthday. I admire Jim Braddock's heart and drive as portrayed. Great story.

What a wonderful website a terrific film about a wonderful family man. The film pays immense tribute to the character of the man and the love he had for his family. In an ideal world this film and the man the story revolves around is an excellent foundation for any parent to give to their offspring. The guestbook alone shows how this man James J Braddock is held in esteem. What a terific legacy to leave the world.
