Over the years i had heard alot about the cinderilla man but not till I saw the movie did i really know that such a man as Jim could exist in the world of boxxing.I saw a face to boxxing unlike we have today in all the lame and unworty so called champs we have today.I hope one day soon we have a true champ once more like the bulldog James J braddock.

Just saw the movie for the first time and I was blown away. I think this movie not only reminds us of your ancestor's greatness of heart and might, but also of how lucky we are to be living at a prosperous time.

A wonderful story and excellent movie. I watch it whenever I can. An excellent lesson for the current-day spoiled citizens of this country who think they are entitled to anything and everything, cradle to grave. They need to learn a thing or two from the life of James J. Braddock!!

This is a great story, I love the movie that portrays James Braddock's life. I cannot get enough of it. I am glad i found this site and got to fully read about JJB life. Seems like he was an amazing man!

Great story of a man who overcame adversity in a lot of areas of his life. You should be proud of your relationship with him! Thanks to Ron Howard for bringing the story to the later generations.

As inspiring your father was as a boxer, I think who he was as a man is even more spectacular. He clearly was a man of conviction and he took what God gave him and he made it work so he could do right by his lovely wife and his children. A Great Sports story indeed. However, I will always remember Jimmy Braddock the Husband, Father, the Man.

I just finished watching the movie on HBO for the billionth time. I get inspired, choked up and about 10 other emotions every time I see it. His family members should be very proud.

wow, just watched the movie for the 2nd time. but, this time with my son. i thought it was important for him to see the way a real man should live his life, with honor, compassion, love, ambition...i could go on and on. what a remarkable man. and what a remarkable wife he had. i don't know that i could have been as strong as she was thru all the good and bad times. what a great story. thank you for sharing your story with us. i would have been honored to have met them.

I seen the movie when it first came out, what I don't understand is why braddock was not pick as one of the top 25 boxers of all time. he did not made the list at all. why?????

He was a symbol for all the people that lived in that hard times of The Great Depresion.
He won his title and show them, that whatever is happening, no matter how hard it is - You have to believe that you can deal witj it.!!!!!

JJB is truly an inspiration and what determination is all about. Tonight was my 2nd time watching the movie. If he were still alive I'd want to meet him and express how inspiring he is. It was a pleasure for me to know that such a loving and united family exists. watched movie for the 1st time 8-25-06

originally from Yonkers N.Y. I just saw Cinderellaman for the 1st time this evening(8-23-06) and it blew me away. i am a cagefighter and i started pretty late in life at 30. his heart and love has inspired me not just to be a better fighter but a better man. thank you. i hope to have strenth and will like him.

Having watched the movie, and reviewed this page, I would say that we need more men, especially Sports Figures like James Braddock. It was people like him who made America great.
