I just watched "Cinderella Man" for the umpteenth time. It's one of my all time favorites. It's a real-life "Rocky" movie. I noticed that Rocky Balboa had a couple of turtles in "Rocky" and wonder if the life of Braddock inspired him for the movie and the idea for the turtles?

I just watched the movie for the fifth time,, what a great man he was, not only for boxing but as a father, and human being. The movie was excellent and should have won many awards.
If we all would push ourselfs as much as this man did, for his family, the country and himself, what would we ALL accomplish

Ashamed to say that I hadn't heard of this great man before seeing the film. Brilliant example of a pugilist and more importantly a geat man.

I wonder if James were alive today what he would think of the boxing world. He was one of America's true heros. Grit and determination. An inspiration to the sport.

WOW! I just recently watched "Cinderella Man" and it was amazingly inspiring to me. I realized that a married couple could be able to go through alot of trails and tribulations and still have the strenght and integrity to go on with life. Well Mr. James J. Braddock was a amazing Father, Role Model, Boxer, and Hard Worker who was able to have faith in not only himself but his family also. I'am impressed.

I watched "Cinderella Man" the other night and it was so amazing to to see a wonderful man who struggled in life and still cared and loved his wife and child so much! Mae was an amazing woman. She stayed by his side through thick and thin. James J. Braddock, even though you are not here to hear me say this- you are an incredible inspiration and great man and you will always be remembered! Russel Crowe and Renee Z. truly played the parts fantastically!

A lesson for us all. A true champion will dig deeper, wlll never quit, will never accept defeat and will show the humility that makes people remember him.
Good on ya Jimmy. We are forever proud.

An amazing feel good movie of an honest, hard working, family orientated man. An inspiration to us all in how much we should appreciate the simple things we have today that many suffered without all those years ago. Also an inspiration to those who believe the deck is stacked against them, that there is no light at the tunnels end, work hard and believe in yourself.
Being raised by Irish parents may have been a result in his never stop trying attitute.
Your memory will live on Mr James J. Braddock.

Sir,
I have witnessed many inspirational stories in my life, but none that moved me as much as the James J. Braddock saga. I watch the movie almost weekly as a source of motivation, and to be reminded of what the human spirit is capable of accomplishing.
Mr. Braddock, God Bless you and your family.

I have watched Cinderella Man many time with my five year old grandson David. He loves the movie and is fascinated with James. He wrestles at the 45 pound weight class.
I often ask David do you know what your fighting for? and he says Yea Milk.
James J Braddock was an is still an inspiration.

One of the greats that inspired the people when in need of a champion.
The true "Rocky" for generations to admire!
May his name live on as a testament to what is good and wholesome in this world.

I never knew about Mr. Braddock until finally watching the movie 'Cindrella Man' for the first time last night. I must say what an amazing story though. A true champion, in every sense of the word, not JUST in the ring. What an amazing story he had from rise, to fall, then rise again. Fighting in WW II, and being a successful businessman...inspiring!
