Wow, i've just finished watching the film and i had to find out more info. What a guy, a great boxer, a great father and a great husband. Im 22 and i am always interested in the old school boxers. He fought fiercly in the face of adversity, something i doubt many of my own generation would be capable of. R.I.P. JJB, you were an inspiration to millions.

Just read Cinderella Man by Jeremy Schapp. A great read. I have also seen the movie and the James J Braddock story is one of human spirit and the will to overcome adversity. The Braddock story is a great boxing story, but the fact is its really about a man who had great love for Family and kept to his values whatever transpired in his life,. This part actually surpasses the boxing piece for me (depite being a boxing fan). My Grandfather told me the story many years ago in London and I was suprised to find when I came to live in the US that Braddock actually trained in Chatham NJ where I now live. I guess it was prety rural then with lots of fresh air and close enough to NYC to be very convenient. The Braddock family should be very proud of their patriarch he is an inspiration.

A man with the level of greatness such as James J. Braddock is truly inspirational to everyone everywhere he is timeless he is forever.

I just watched Cindarella Man. Has to be the most inspirational movie I have seen in years. Blows Rocky out of the water. Given the movie was accurate on all accounts, Braddock can still be an inspiration to us all.

What a great man! I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn about such an amazing father, husband, friend and boxer. I watched the movie for my economics class (to learn more about the Great American Depression) and was definitely not expecting to see such greatness.

I just finished watching this wonderful movie and had to look up some information about such a great man of history. I didnt know much about the story and was completly surprised about how moving and inspirational this story was. JJB was more than a boxer he was a true icon of humanity.

We just finished watching Cinderella Man and I had to go out and look up info on Mr. Braddock. He was truly a man of honor and a gentleman. This is one of the best movies ever.

I was raised in North Bergen, NJ and for 16years of my life, I lived just 5 blocks away from James J Braddock Park. I never knew who he was until now. I am thankful for having been able to watch Cinderella Man. Now I have a much greater appreciation for who JJB was and how deserving he is to have such a beautiful park named in his honor. He seemed to be a truly special man and I am proud to say that we share the same home town.

I grandfather was amateur boxer when he was yong. I believe that I have inherited his passion by the boxing.

5-26-06 I've just watched Cinderella Man and must say that it is a heartwarming movie. It would have been an honor to know such an honorable and strong hearted man as Mr. Braddock. His wife and children must have been very proud of him.

Braddock was a man among men. The movie is very well made and have brilliant details and great actors.
It possibly portrayed some characters (like Max Baer) a bit too one-sided, but is truly a classic.
Hopefully this encourages people to live decent and strong lives.

i have just watched "cinderella man" movie, and although i dont watch boxing as a sport, i am full of admiration for the man james j braddock and his family. Even though they went through hard times, they kept their family values at all times. Its an inspiration to us all to remember, that good family and friends mean more than material things

I just finished watching the movie Cindrella Man with my class and I trully enjoyed it and was motivated by my friends to go find some info on Braddock and everythings so amazing. Russel Crowe who plays Braddock looks similarly the same as Braddock and the whole movie had all the info nad history on him to the nail. James J. Braddock was the best fight and will always be in my eyes well there are so many others but i don't know all there statistics but Braddocl is still an amazing fighter to me. I would also like to add that his nickname Cinderella Man never made sense to me till now when i found out why they nicknamed him that and suits him well and doesn't insult him in anyway complements Braddock....The movie was very entertaining and informative and on top of that James J. Braddock will always be the best fighter in my eyes top all the others because of the movie made of him.

I just watched the movie for the first time and couldn't wait to get on the internet to learn more about James J. Braddock. My father grew up during the days when Mr. Braddock was a professional boxer and he eventually became an amature boxer (Golden Bloves and boxing while in the Army during WWII). After seeing the movie, I have a better understanding of what life was like during the Great Depression and know how hard it was for all people back then. To Mr. Braddock's family I can only say... I'm happy that I was able to learn about his life. It is evident through the movie that He loved you all and worked hard to provide for you.

I Found Jims story truley insiprational, ethics in life is a fast passing us by and we need to know there were men like Jim Braddock that know right from wrong and lived it. It will make us all stop and realixe what values we are capable of....God Bless you all.
