I have just finished watching the film, what an amazing, inspirational and emotional film. his family must be so proud.

It is the morning after watching the movie and I simply cannot get the life and times of Mr Braddock out of my head.
I guess during the movie I hardly moved for a moment in case I missed a second of the portrayal of this truly great man of solid principle.

I just watched the movie with my family. Thank you for giving us such an inspiring story. What a great example for us to follow. Never, Ever Give up!

MY WIFE AND I JUST WATCHED THE MOVIE AND WE COULD NOT STOP CRYING. GIVEN THE HARDSHIPS OF THE TIME, AND WHAT YOUR FAMILY HAD TO ENDURE IS MIND BOGGLING.
BEING FROM HOUSTON AND WITNESSING THE DISPLACED PEOPLE FROM THE KATRINA HURRICANE I DO NOT FEEL THAT THIS COUNTRY COULD HANDLE ANYTHING LIKE THE DEPRESSION AGAIN. MY WIFE AND I ARE BOTH OF IRISH DECENT AND IT MAKES US PROUD THAT THIS MAN NEVER FALTERED ON HIS VALUES OR PRINCIPLES. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD

WOW. That is all I can say. I cannot begin to comprehend how hard this man's life was. He has done so many things that others don't even have the nerve. One of the greats. Thats where I place him. On top of a boxing career went on to serve his country and continue to work hard. He should go down in the Mankind Hall of Fame if you ask me.

the film is realy good

I just watched Cinderella Man. What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. Mr. Braddock was truly an inspiration to everyone in his generation. His life will always remain an inspiration for all generations.

I knew nothing of Braddock before the movie but went because I'm a Russell Crowe fan. That movie was just fantastic and watch it again every couple months (along with Rocky). In this day of spoiled athletes and criminal behavior, it is nice to remember days and people of dignity and integrity.

Jim Braddock was (in my opinion) the Lance Armstrong of boxing, he overcame many many obstecles to get to where he ended in 1946 and he was a great boxer, and an even better man, and he should be remembered as the best!

Braddock is the best, great person, great friend, great father, etc. His live is a inspiration for me and for the future generations. Rest in peace Braddock, you have an admirer that pray for you.

Born in 1930, I was a small boy when James J. Braddock became Champion but I remember my Dad talking about him. My Dad was a fight manager, part time, and when he was laid off from his full time job didn't give up either, operating a hot dog stand and continued in the fight game, waiting for the depression to improve. People during the depression, such as Braddock and my Dad had tremendous character. I loved the movie, mainly because it protrayed how tough it was for everyone during the depression. They were the true surviors of this world. People of today can take a big lession from the likes of Jim Braddock.

Although every person is precious and valuable in some way, I believe that God just calls some people to be extra special. James J Braddock was definitely one of those people and it shows because we still talk about him today. I'll join the boat in saying that I never heard of him until seeing the movie. But now I can honestly say that James J Braddock is someone I look up to and his story is one of inspiration to my life. I just saw the movie for the first time tonight, and I'll never forget it. His fight with Baer was the David and Goliath of boxing. Once again, the overpowering force in this story was not the person's talent, size, or tricks- it was heart.

James J. Braddock is my hero and will always be. Watching him in the movie Cinderella Man, it give me courage to do things that I couldn't. Story of his life made me believe in faith.

I knew nothing about boxing... was down and watched "Cinderella Man" with my little boy,Seth(8), tonight... then did a search to get the "real story"...Jim Braddock still gives hope and is absolutely inspiring!Thanks and God Bless!

I think many people like myself who have signed the guest book did not know anything about James Braddock before the film was released and have come on the net to look up and find out more about the man himself, what can i say , as the film is based on true events you can only say what a remarkable man he was, a true inspiration to his family and all the people who where apart of his life. The film is truely fantastic and the feeling you get at the end of the film, well lets just say all the hairs on my arms stood up. The true James Braddock a top man, and Russell played a great part. Just one thing, do you think this is where Sly Stallone got his idea for Rocky??? makes you wonder!!!

Just watched the movie and decided to google for james braddock, so pleased to see the film is based on true events, such a warm and pleasing evaluation of his uprising and the struggle he had, hoo-ray for JB!!!

this has to be the best movie i have seen.. i had to look him up to learn more about his life. i think this is a great way to make him still live in everyones hearts
