I just watched the movie. The story was truly inspiring. I was about to have a heart attack near the end. His won shown me nothing is impossible as long as you believe !

My Zada, who passed away in 1998, turned me on to boxing at a young age. He was a few years younger than Jim and struggled through the Depression as did so many Americans. For years, I have read bits and pieces about The Cinderella Man, and wondered about how true these fables were. After seeing the movie and just finishing Jeremy Schapp’s book, I am dying to get my hands on "Relief to Royalty,” by Lud Shahbazian. Does anyone know where I can find a copy?

Bless the Braddock Family; you have a wonderful history and legacy left by The Cinderella Man!

The main message I get from his life was that even if he was amazing, he was not proud of himself. He fought for his family, not just for fame.

if there was ever a human form of the pheonix bird, it was jimmy. the movie, so fantastically made, did make me interested in his life. hats off to him.

As a young boy, my father told me stories of the depression and his most fond memory was of seeing James Braddock fight in San Francisco. Many, many years later, as a High School teacher, I have incorporated the James Braddock story (and the movie) into my lesson plans as I teach the kids my unit on the Great Depression of the 1930's. It is perhaps the best unit I present and never fails to capture the interest and curiosity of the class. I thank you for the rich history your family has provided me as a learning tool in my role as an educator!.

From seeing the movie, I see what a great man he was (still is!) I love stories about people that inspire me, and this is definitely one of them.

After a recent viewing of 'Cinderella Man', a new interest in James Bradock motivated me to use the internet to research his life. This site was very helpful in this endeaver! Braddock's life is quite admirable.

I watched Cinderella Man yesterday evening and was so touched by it. Mr. Braddock's love for his family and his determination to not give up was so inspiring to me in 2006, so I can only imagine the inspiration he gave so many others in the 1930's era. This was an amazing film. Thanks to the Braddock family and those who helped put this film together.

I had never heard of JJ Braddock before this movie. It was wonderful to see a story about a man who did not let adversity overcome him and worked for his family.

Truly James was an American hero, and icon. The lessons he taught by his life (depicted in the movie) had as great as impact as the lessons he taught all of us by his great boxing career.

Shame the movie didn't pick up a single academy award yesterday, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still a great and inspirational film and a lasting tribute to James J Braddock.
