My husband and I watched Cinderella Man this afternoon. What a wonderful movie! His life is so inspiring and sets an example for all of us. Finally a simple , hard working, loyal, decent man is glorified. It seems rare that the guy that takes the high road is even recognized. How refreshing in this era and in the boxing arena too! Kudos to Ron Howard for his choice to make this movie and for illustrating Braddocks life so artfully.

I watched the movie last night, and was completely moved by this man's life. Sadly he seemed to think that what had happened was due to a stroke of bad luck, and then regain his four leaf clover! Really, it as the love of his wife & three children that gave him the motivation to win him the world championship, which allowed him to recreate a comfortable life for his family. I really hope the movie is as the story goes!!! Because it touched me!!

My father, Ed Towers won the Golden Gloves in Riverside, Ca but stopped boxing after hurting an opponent. He loved this movie and remembers Mr. Braddock as he was a young boy (11-14) during his reign.

The movie was great, It really put perspective on life during the Depression. Crowe played it great. Wow, Max Baer was a dickhead.

The storyline in the film was quite poignant and in many ways similiar on a much lesser scale to the hardships of the Irish famine and English oppression, that in retrospect led to many irish emigrants like the Braddocks making the journey to the land of freedom and hope. Im sure Jim was proud of his roots.

In a world in need of heroes, Braddock displays the courage, devotion to family, and drive that everyone can learn from. I can draw from this inspiration as I embark on my journey into starting my own business - as I aspire to live my dream and set up my family for years to come. Great stuff Braddock family!

I think James J. Braddock is an inspirational man, who overcame such hardship to show that the heart and soul of an individual can overcome any adversity that is thrown at you as long as you have the belief and the will to never quit and succeed. I honor you my friend, I never knew you, but I can say I can call you my friend and inspiration for life. I Thank you.

Having watched the movie I wanted to learn more, hence came to the Web site. To anyone that enters the site, take the time to read what people have said. NB There are truly more good people than bad, its just that we are the silent majority.

Mr. Braddock is a champ in and out of the ring. He is truly someone to look up to and demonstrates how the heart of man is his strongest muscle.

If the movie is true to form, Mr. James J. Braddock is one hell of a husband, father, and human being.
May he rest in peace.

My wife and I just finished watching the movie.
My father who passed away ten years ago was a depression child , and a big fight fan.
I can remember as boy him talking about Joe Louis and Jersey Joe Woolcoct. I do remember too him menitoning Mr Braddock. As the last great " white hope ".
He really admired Joe Louis but told me of the fight with Mr. Braddock and what a BOUT it was.
His life's story ( Mr. Braddock's ) not only was an inspiration to thousands or more back in those bleak days of the depression , but too to folks like us that have had parents that live through those times and to see what Mr Braddock did for his fellow countrymen.
To his surviving family, I say thank you for allowing his story to be told and for giving us now a reminder of what your father , and my father along with many other men trying to care for their family's went through.
Bless You

I was watching the movie "Cinderella Man" with my girlfriend and we were astounded by a great story and we think it is incredible how James worked his way up while everything was braking him and his family down. He must have been a great man.
