AS A KID GROWING UP IRISH IN NJ IN THE THIRTIES I REMEMBER HOW MY FOLKS TALKED GLOWINGLY ABOUT A MAN NAMED BRADDOCK. AFTER SEEING CINDERELLA MAN I NOW KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT. HE IS MY HERO THOUGH BELATELY.

I just had a change to see Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe. I am a big boxing fan and I heard the name James Braddock before but, little did I know about the MAN. This man had courage, determination and a good women by his side! What he did for boxing was great, but what he did to show how the human spirit can endure double WOW! . Hats off to his legacy and for the people that made this flim happen.

Am I the only person who is aboslutely gutted that a movie as good as Cinderella Man was practically overlooked in the Oscar Nominations?

Imagine him becoming a world champion regardless his poverty! Great James!

The true definition of a gentleman , he lived by principals that were built on love for his family and honour in and out of the ring that we all inspire to achieve , a man of our time .

James is the epitome of what a 'man' should be. Unbelievable. The movie does him justice too. Russle Crowe is awesome

After watching "Cinderella Man" I was awestruck by the courage of James Braddock and the people who did it tough through the depression. Braddock was an underdog, a hero to the masses and a real boxing legend!

Was completely blown away last night after watching an amazing film about 'The Man' Im 27 so didnt see much of Braddock but my god being a boxing fan ill never forget a true legend. Thanks Mr Braddock x

James J Braddock a fighter, a winner and a true hero. I knew nothing about him till i watched the movie. Braddock is an inspiration to me now to survive, to fight and to shine.

if i had 1 wish in this world it would be to congratulate jim braddock in person. i didnt know about him until i saw the movie. it was a great movie and it touched my heart. i would like to congratulate and honor all his family and god bless you all in the future. my prayers are for all of you

I knew nothing of the great James J BRADDOCK until watching 'Cinderella Man'. I was overwhelmed with emotion. I can see how he gave hope to many in such difficult times. People of today can learn a lot from this man in relation to his strong family values & beliefs. Men like him are few & far between.

words can not say what the movie made me feel. i feel like going to NJ to see one of the greatest man of the worlds house.

Really fine man and really lovely to the family father. World would be better place, if all men would be his type.

Jim Braddock was my first sports hero. I was 8 years old when he fought Joe Louis andI listened to the fight on the radio. I was heart broken when he lost. He was a real hero.

Great Film... nice to see Hollywood Depict an Irishman as something other than a drunk...
Braddock as shown in the Film was a Family man, loyal, Couragious and strong....And I'm sure the saying is true, "behind every strong man is a stronger women"(Wife) best of luck to all the Family from a fellow Irishman.

Great Movie!, about a Great Man (God Bless Jim Braddock). We need more movies like this and more individuals like him. What a role model. God Bless Russell Crowe and Ron Howard, for having the insight and sensitivity to take on this role and make this movie. It was well worth it. Thank You.

I'm very disappointed at the Academy for not nominating this movie for best picture. I don't think it's fair at all to condemm this fine piece of work due to the mischief of one individual. I damn the academy to Hell. My heart is with the Braddock Family.

Braddock is about an “American” idol/dream as some of the earlier posts have suggested … He is the symbol of raw courage and motivation for anyone, irrespective of country, in any walk of life who is down in the dumps and an underdog and yet doesn’t intend to quit and sit …

james was one of the best boxer's ever to live in this world and no doubt he is still fighting away in the next, james j bradock A TRUE LEGEND!

A great American. Our family loved the movie. I wish Americans today still has the self reliance his life demonstrated.

I was totally bowled over by this mans guts,determination and profound proudness. An example sorely lacking in todays game. The Braddock family must be very proud. Thankyou also Ron Howard for bringing this to light.
