WOW!!! What a wonderful, inspiring, heartwrenching, amazing movie!! I had tears in my eyes and a hard lump in my chest the whole movie. The power that came from the movie was overwhelming. A remarkable and strong man, James Braddock, your family must be very proud of you.

What a wonderful and moving tribute the film The Cinderella Man was to James J Braddock. Truly inspirational and we need more heros like him and his ringside mate Joe Gould. Remarkable story and what a glowing tribute and honour it must be for u and your family to keep this website and see such wonderful remarks. The amazing thing that strikes me was although he was Heavyweight Champion of the World, it was what he did and how he conducted himself outside the ring that made him a true champion.

I’d never heard of James J. Braddock, but I will never forget him for as long as I live. I’m grateful that Russell Crowe had the resilience and fortitude to convince Ron Howard that this was a movie worth making. Crowe and Zellweger, brilliant actors, both talented as always, convey raw, human emotion as man and wife. Crowe’s eyes tell so much of the story that both of their performances are honorably Oscar worthy. Not once do I remember during the movie they verbally spoke of the love they had for each other and their children, but was made crystal clear by their actions and their looks. You just *knew* their love was beyond comprehension. Rosemarie was wonderful in the movie. A true actress who made film making appear so easy.
Howard, your father was a man of integrity. Being honest, optimistic, sincere, and loyal were just a few of his attributes – his greatest being the love of his family. Your mother was a wonderful woman – Strong and devoted to her family as well. Thank you for letting us have a peek into their lives. I’m forever grateful.

I hate fighting, but love a good biography. So I watched Cinderella Man, hoping for a good story and not too much violence. I got much more than I hoped for, the man (and his wife) are bigger than life. Thanks for my new favorite movie.

this movie lets me remember when men were men like my dad, growing up on the lower east side, of an irish mom and italian dad, who was 17 yrs old in 1934. "Pride and pay your way" was so instilled in us to this day. Thank you for the opportunity to see and feel this... again!

I just saw the movie on DVD 01-20-06 it was so inspirational, my father grew up in Guttenberg before and during the 1920's I remember him telling stories about James Braddock and what his fighting meant to the people of that period. I was so glad to see it , I understand my dad even better because ot it.
