Wonderful movie, it depicts how hard the depression was for some Americans. Mr. Braddock appeared to have been a very decent even tempered man that was devoted to his family and his country.

What a great movie. I have boxed in my day and am still a great boxing fan but I had not paid much at attention to James Braddock's career. This movie shows what a great guy he was and should be classed as a true American hero. Thank you Ron Howard for making the movie and thanks Braddock family for providing this site and giving the world the information on your ancestor.

Greatest movie ever! I saw it last June when it came out bought it when the DVD came out and have watched it several times since. It would be a crime if the movie does not win the oscar for best picture, best director ( Ron Howard), Best Actor (Russell Crowe), Best Actress (Renee Zellweger) and best supporting actor (Paul Giamatti). Thank you to the Braddock Family for allowing us to share with one of the finest men of all time. WOW what an inspiration.

Nothing short of greatness. Never giving up and enduring all adversities was what James taught us, a true American hero.

Kalie, we all know that the Boxing talent wasn't it is today, but who cares, it is a great story, Russell Crowe did a ok job, personally I would of liked to see Ben Afleck play James and maybe someone else for Renee Zellqinger, she was OK also. Good Movie though

what a lame movie, ROCKY nock off!! I want my $3.99 back, if a guy who didn't train for a long time, then faught a world contender with no preparation and training should tell you the talent level at that time in boxing history. I'm not saying Jimmy wasn't a stand up guy, I'm sure he was, but so was every guy who provided for their families at that hard time. Thats 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

That was the best movie!! Thank you sooooo soooo much for sharing this amazing story with the whole wide world, James Braddock is an inspiration to every living person, we love you james!!! if there was a James Braddock Memorial I would plan a vacation to visit it, like Graceland. This guy is up there with the likes of ALI, JORDAN, ARMSTRONG, SHAQ, ETC. WE ALL LOVE YOU CINDERELLA MAN!!!!

My friends and I watch the movie tonight. We are female senior citizens who grew up with boxing as a sport. my family lived in Jersey City alnd one time my father stopped a man for directions in North Bergeln or Union City and it was Jimmy Braddock. He bragged about it for years. It is so wonderful to know that a man can be moral, a family man and an athlete.

I just watched the movie and was touched. After the movie I immediately came to the computer to find more information about this great man. Thanks the Braddock famility for running this website. The story of James Braddock is inspiring.

Inspiritional!!!! James J. Braddock is a true American Icon! What a devoted husband and father! I will strive to be more like him. The way he was honest and proud even when his family was hungry and poor should be motivation for all.

Just finished an outstanding movie about the life of an outstanding American Hero. Even though we are no longer living during the Depression, I think James Braddock's story of courage and determination is just as needed today. We need more hero's like him...

James J. Braddock is a true American hero. He always put his family first, served his country honorably and never took advantage of others. "Pro" athletes today could surly learn from this man.

We just finished watching the movie. It was incredible. Once again Ron Howard has made a movie that tells a wonderful story that needed to be told. James Braddock was a great example of dedication to family, honesty and the triumph of the human spirit over all odds.

Just watched Cinderella Man. Jim Braddock was an outstanding man...there need to be more people like him in the world today.

I just watched the movie. I wasn't sure what to expect. I had never heard of Jimmy Braddock before and this was a great story of a true American. I had to pause it before the fight with Max Baer and check out this web site to find out the outcome before I watched it. And even after I knew the outcome , I had tears in my eyes. Great story, great movie, great man!
