James J. Braddock - Guestbook
Welcome to the official guestbook of the James J Braddock website. Due to spam, we have been forced stop guestbook entries.
I was inspired not by the right hand or the wins in the ring. I was inspired by a man who did what it took to support his family through troubled times.

Mr. James J. Braddock makes me proud to be a husband and a father. His beautiful love and devotion for his wife and children sets a mark for all of us to strive to achieve. It is not difficult to stay on balance with your family matters when life is good and running smooth. The measure of a man and his courage is how he handles life and himself when hard times are upon him. He was blessed to have such a wonderful wife to be by his side during his life. I really enjoyed the Cinderella Man movie. Everyone should see it...

I saw the movie over the weekend and this man was truly in todays terms the mans man. This man must have truly had a heart of gold and loved his family beyond any means, this day and time, you never see families staying together through hard times. They overcame every obstacle and still held onto their faith and felt so blessed to only have each other when they were truly haveing a hard time to make ends meet. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR IN YOUR JOURNEYS AHEAD BRADDOCK FAMILY. YOU JAMES J BRADDOCK ARE AN INSPIRATION TO OTHERS AND GOOD SPEED TO MR. JAMES "J" BRADDOCK LONG LIVE THE HERO!

VERY TOUCHING & INSPIRATIONAL... what an extrodianry man and wife... to love for their kids as much as they did. What a phenominal feat to overcome. It is hard for me to connect with my father sometimes, since his childhood was filled mainly with fighting for his independence in the 1940's Israel. Mr. Braddocks story enlightens me and helps me understand where my old man is coming from...
Sincerely,
-Nadav

I really enjoyed the Cinderella Man movie. It really made me see what things he had to overcome as a boxer and a father to make things good for his family. I always recomend this movie to anybody and say watch it and you will see a "Great Man and caring man."

My dad passed away at age 79 5 years ago. He was an avid Boxing Fan and often spoke of James Braddock. After watching his story (cindrella man), I have come away with a feeling of what a real AMERICAN MAN was in the arly 1900's. This is a par of our history LONG GONE TODAY. There are few men left who would endure the pain and hardship that James Braddock did, just to support his family. May God Bless all those American men and women, and all the WORKING IMMIGRANTS, who lived through the great depression like my parents did, and never complained. Unfortunately, their generation is long gone and this generation will never see such times again, nor would they have the power or the will to endure such hardship. May God Bless America for what she ONCE WAS, and WILL NEVER BE AGAIN !!!!! Now all we have are immigrants coming into this country with their hands out complaining what we should GIVE THEM, and not even learining the English Language. What a shame!!!!!!!!!!1. C.M. I saw the movie yesterday, I was very emotional about the man and his life. My Dad was an ex-boxer, and I kept thinking of him and how he kept our family together, always giving and setting the standard of how a father should raise a family. It truely made me appreciate what a wonderful Dad I have. I want to buy the movie for him for a Christmas present, I'm sure he'll enjoy it. Thanks for reminding me how special my parents are!

A true inspiration! The most uplifting movie ever made. It makes you not only proud to be a father but also shows how adversity is no match for love and determination.

I am a true boxing fan, who used to read about James J. Braddock. He should be an inspiration to everyone to " Never Give Up". I think when God created man, he was thinking of James J. Braddock.

As a police officer and a father, it is a true blessing to see a good human being trimuph the way Jim did despite the adversity he faced. He is at the very top tier of those atheletes whom I admire most. I will watch the movie with my son so he can see what a real tough guy is made of.

i think that braddock is a sensational fighter and the movie showed very few of the many talents of mr. braddock himself. mr. braddock was a talented fighter and i hope one day to be half the man he was...

Very simply .... a truly wonderful movie that had me shouting from the couch and rooting Mr. Braddock on, especially in the last fight in the film with Max Baer. As with the movie Sea Biscuit it moved me to do some inquiry and find out more about the man. Hmmm, as before I'll have to look for a book which tells the story oh so nicley! A great man, a great story!

I'm still emothional. What a great film! James J Braddock is a true hero and an inspiration to us all. What an honor it must be to be his grandson. He now makes my top three list of people I wish I could have met along side John Lennon and John F Kennedy! Great web site, keep it up!

I just watched the movie last night. It was an excellent movie. James J. Braddock, not doubt, was an insperation to this country in one of it's darkest hours. What a show of the human spirit and the sacrifice a man will make to provide for his family!

I have been teaching 20th century American History for the past 30+ years. This is one movie I will recommend to all of my students. Ironically I just finished teaching about The Great Depression last week and I saw this on the weekend. I also have the curse of the history teacher when I watch an historical movie. I look for historical inaccuracies. I did not notice any. Great flick.

I just watched this last night with my husband and I thought it was a wonderful movie. I don't like boxing and had to leave during some of the fight scenes, but this was so much more than a boxing movie. What a great man; he had such character and decency even in the face of such adversity. He seemed to be always a gentleman and taught his children such wonderful lessons through his actions. What a proud Irishman indeed!!!
