The man was only able to accomplish what he did because of the support he had from his wonderful wife.Women, if your man is working hard trying to provide and maybe things are not how you would like them to be, don't blame him.Support him and continue to have respect no matter how bad things look.You never know when opportunity is just around the corner.Fill him with confidense and honor so when the opportunity comes he is able to recognize it and take it.

My husband and I just finished watching the DVD. I had no idea I was going to get that into it. I really didn't want to watch it (I'm not into boxing really). One of the most inspirational stories I ever seen or heard in my life! When it was over I thanked my husband for making me watch it. How proud James Braddock's family must be!

Truly a remarkable man... The movie makes us realize how we take everything for granted. It should be a wake up call to all of us! Love conquers all!

Both my wife an I watched the DVD movie, last night (12-9-05); we really enjoyed the story and the message. I also viewed the extras; especially enjoyed the actual rounds from the fight with Maxie Baer. The actors did a great job of recreating the fight and captured the moment like I have never seen before (Gentlemen Jim; John L. Sullivan, Jack Johnson, etc.). The recreation of the fight scenes were absolutely GREAT! Not to forget the great love not of just a man and woman but a man who showed respect for his friends, love of his family and being a noble human being. My wife has been telling everyone today - to see this movie, she really enjoyed it!

My husband is founder and president of the Ketchikan Fight Club. Boxing is a major event in our lives. Our two sons, 25 & 23, are great boxers. Our youngest, Gabe, just had his first born, a son, and he named him Braddock! Braddock Corban Kain Duckworth. Maybe it will bring him good luck in his future. What an insprirng story!

I've seen the DVD. I life in the city. I'm not reach and not poverty. Beside this man I feel like last dirty bastard who spent money for unimportant things. There was a message in his life. There is something what is impossible to buy for money. Honor, familly, fulfilled life. I try to live better. Many thanks to James for the message and thanks to the movie creators.

could not wait until the next morning to give my 3 yr old and 8 month old boys a big hug. This movie gave me a greater appreciation for what is most important in life. ** Family **

I am a single parent of a 16 year old boy who is still in treatment with leukemia. I was born in 1946 and also have a 40 year old son. I have raised my son on my own because his wealthy father is to busy living the rich man's life. NOW what I want to say is after watching the movie Cinderalla Man and reading up on the Bulldog from Bergen, James J Braddock, I told my son if he wants to live his life with purpose and worth and to make his male mentor, James J. Braddock. This country now needs the youth to learn that life is not all about nintendo and toys but to remember someone like James J. Braddock that set an example of honesty and moral integrity. I thank you for the movie and God Bless you for putting a movie that shows the life of a man that all children and people can learn from. My Aunt was in the depression and I can only say that the Bulldog from Bergen stole my heart. Thank you sincerely..

Great movie. Best character study since Patton. The second half of the movie was very inspirational, the first half was unforgettable!

I just finished watching "Cinderella Man" on DVD.I had already seen it in the movies.I liked it better the second time around! I must say, you have every right to be so very proud of James J. Braddock! What a man,husband & father!! Ron Howard did it right, the movie was just great! I just had to jump on the internet afterwards to learn more about the man. My husband and I enjoyed this movie so much! James Braddock was an amazing man. A real man in the truest sense of the word. He was courageous, loving and selfless. He still is an inspiration to americans. James Braddock makes a person really appreciate what they have. Thank you for sharing your family history. I have just finished watching the incredible movie and was really hoping I could find something on the net about this inspiring man. People today have no idea the hardships people went thru in those days, and this man is a shining example of the type of person we all should be. ZPark Idaho

James J. Braddock was a man of honor and character. A gentleman of the highest order. Compared to the likes of the silly Mike Tyson, or other showboating rapper wannabes, Braddock reminds us of a real fighter.

I've just seen the movie about the life of Mr. Braddock, also of being a great film, it's a great script, a great story, and it's because is a man's life, James' life. And it remindsme a lot to the life of many others, many others here in Argentina, whos have to fight against the desocupation, even hungry and humiliation. That happend so to him and many people at '30s on the Great Depression on US, but here, we are just comming out of it... I hope. This movie is a story about a HUMAN, a human in extreme conditions, but also near the edge he still his principals, his hope. Jim Braddock should be an example for every man alive. I think it was his personality and who he was inside that made the movie, not just boxing. No story has ever touched me this much.

Words can't express how indepth and powerfull this real life story is. It makes you reflect on your own struggles and leaves you with such inspiration. I thought of my Father and Grandfather who lived through those times and thanked our Lord for all that I and my family have. I cried and rooted at the same time during those fight scenes.

James Braddock will be an inspiration to me for a long time! I have never been touched by a story of someones life like this before. I am a Union carpenter and just married a wonderful woman with two children. I will try to live up to the example James has shown.

Wow, what a movie. I was literally at the edge of my seat and emotionally involved in that fight scene against Max Baer. What guts James Braddock had obviously. Your family can be proud of the fine example the movie exemplifies to those viewing it. Thanks for sharing his story.
