My hubby and I saw the movie this evening. BRAVO,to say the least.Braddock the fighter was exceptional,as was Braddock the person.It just saddens me that the boxers today couldn't hold a match to the glory of yesterdays fighters.

A truly wonderful story of courage and perseverance! I don't follow boxing much, but this story prompted me to look up who James J. Braddock really was. It's a blessing to see how a man supported his family through all the tough times. Very good film. Thank you for sharing all the photos.

I am somewhat of a boxing fan, but never have heard of Jim Braddock. After seeing and experiencing this movie recently, I am ashamed to say that. I was totally moved and emotionalized that several times on the incredible journey through this film! He was the type of man we all aspire to. He showed his dogged determination, yet humility, as he did whatever it took to support his family. He provided an absolute example to his family. One of the treasures of his life, it seemed to me, was the way he and his wife lived, worked, and loved together. What an amazing lady! She was the cornerstone of his success, and he showed he knew that in the movie! It caused me to reflect and realize how much better of an example I am going to strive to be for my family, and that I can add more intensity towards my personal goals and dreams, and achieve them! Thank you so much for sharing this man and allowing his life to fuel so many more dreams and passions......

There were many noble men and women during those times. I was only six or so. We never went hungry but I remember Dad and Mom counting nickels at the kitchen table after dinner.

Ron Howard should be in a hall-of-fame!

Truly one of the best and most inspirational stories I have ever seen. I had never heard of James Braddock till the movie and now after seeing it I can not seem to get enough information about this amazing man. For anybody down on their luck, a story like this is the best medicine in all the world! God bless his soul

This is one of the most inspirational stories I've ever seen. A real tribute to determination and drive; family love and support; and a great work ethic!

In today's world of "so called sports celebrities" James J. Braddock stands head and shoulders above the norm.

I loved it.

What a wonderful life story. It was a nice film to see with a wonderful friend and his Grandmother who remembers hearing a James Braddock match on the radio. She really enjoyed the film. A great evening out and truly inspirational .

What an amazing story of exceptional human character and heart! James J Braddock was the true hero of his time. It has truly been a pleasure learning about him through this website and the movie "Cinderella Man" brilliantly directed by Ron Howard.

A remarkable story and an individual who fought to survive. This story had everything and captured it all. I became a fan instantly and adored the way Mr. Braddock was with his family and people, pure class! This story was presented with hope and passion and I was glad to have witnessed this on the big screen. I hope there was a book written on the story so I could purchase the book for a great read.

This was not only my favorite movie of 2005 it was my favorite movie ever!!! Every citizen of the USA should be forced to watch this film. It was at true inspiration to me and I am so grateful to those who made the film. I think this film deserves all the alcolades it can get. Great job cast and crew! I loved this film and will rave about it the rest of my life... much as those lucky people who got to see James fight in the 20's and 30's did about Mr. Braddock himself.

I loved the movie, but what I really want to know is..... was Max Baer really the antagonist the movie portrayed him to be???

I went through a period when I loved boxing.....now a days there's not to many good fighters out there and I lost interest. This movie will bring back some interest as I will learn more about Cinderella man and his life.I would also like to know where in Jersey City did James fight.,and can I find or download some fight pictures? Thank You

I just recently saw this awesome movie and I must say it is one of my favorites. I don't cry very often in movies, but I tell ya, the tears were flowing on this one! James J. Braddock and the whole family seem like such wonderful courageous people. My husband and I thought the movie excellent. Story, actors, settings, direction, it was all very very good. It was a privilege learning about the lives of Mae and James Braddock and their children. Quite an inspiring story.

Since I am not a fan for boxing, I've never heard of this man. I saw Ron Howard on Jay Leno's show and it just looked like a great story. It was absolutely brilliant. My favorite part was his humbleness, the scene where he repaid the government what they had given him was so touching. An awesome man of God!
