The movie was an outstanding portrayal of the great man who never gave up his career in the face of insurmountable obstacles. I am glad such a film was produced that gives us a glimpse of this boxer.

I saw the movie yesterday and came away with a wonderful feeling. My Mom was from New York City , having lived there during the depression. This movie made me appreciate her even more.
What a great person he was to give back to those that helped him and to take such good care of his family.How blessed we are that Ron Howard brought this man to life to those of us that had never heard of him.

What a class act. I wish he were still around.

So great to visit a web site and leave with a feeling of appreciation of a man that put his family first in so many ways. We saw the movie and I was so touched by his determination and love for the people in his life...and his sence of humor and belief that he could make his life better. Finally, as a fellow Irish Catholic and flawed human being, I applaud James Braddock for his faith and determination. I left the movie and will leave this Web site truly inspired.

i've seen the movie a couple of times and will keep seeing it as it is an example for me of how to never give up. if this man went through the worst of times to try and provide for his family i know i can do anything. ron howard is truly the best bio-pic directo i have ever seen and he made a movie that rivals raging bull for certain. if this movie is not nominated i will be extremely dissapointed in what the academy stands for. thank you to this site for allowing us to express our feelings towards this film. a lot of people i feel are so wrapped up in todays issues i think we do not realise sometimes what our grandfathers had to survive through. 15,000,000 people unemployed? is that true?

I saw the movie on June 3rd, and what amazing man! He truly was the Cinderlla Man, and showed how people with determination and goals can accomplish anything they put there minds too! Happy Birthday!

I saw the movie yesterday after work. At the end it was mentioned that Mr. Braddock served during WWII. Is that true, and what did he do?

If it was true that he gave money back to the state, that is so incredible considering the number of people that take advantage of the system today.

I have been a fight fan for many years and have known of Mr. Braddock only as to his name being listed in the fight records. The movie showed a man of courage, committment and integrity overcoming tremendous obstacles to become a world champion. Thank you Mr. Braddock for showing the world what it takes to be a "Cinderella Man".

I saw the movie yesterday. As usual some of the critics (NY Post for example) are way, way off. It was great and I was truly inspired by the life of this great champ! I went to the movies to see 'Cinderella Man' and left the theatre with my heart full of so much respect and admiration, for James J. Braddock. My father was 46 years old when Braddock won the Heavyweight Championship of the world, and throughout the remainder of his life my Dad talked about how great of a man, and a fighter, Jim Braddock truly was. My father passed away in 1966, and I know how much he would have loved to see this wonderful film about his lifelong hero.

Coming from a generation that has never known hardship in our time the life of James Braddock is testimony to the character, principals and heart of one that shaped the world through the depression and war. It is refreshing to see a true character story of a husband, a father and a believer. In a time of continual hollywood gimmicks and garbage. James Braddock's story throws all cliches aside and leaves us only with a sense of how fortunate we are, how special those who walked before us were and how important it is to remember our heroes.
