After watching the movie Cinderella Man, I truly have become obsessed with this story. It is so inspiring the things he did for his family and his peers. He truly was a remarkable man. Too bad we dont have many men like him anymore, the world would be a much better place. God Bless.

I am a 38 year old ex fighter who has read everthing about the man and he was a true hero and a great father his famliy was blessed to have him in there lives

James J. Braddock was the best and his family should get more reconition than they do he was awesome and irish which is awsome

 I have watched Cinderella Man in my U.S. History class, and it was a true inspiration. The way
he gave up everything for his family shows true commitment. This movie was surely an
eye-opener and turned my way of what I knew about the Great Depression around. This movie
defiantly ranks in my top 5, and I don't think anyone who watches this movie will walk away
with dry eyes and a different mind set. I will never forget the story about James J. Braddock and how he changed the lives of many.

I am a U.S. History teacher in a public high school. When I cover the Great Depression, I use the story of James J. Braddock as the basis for the emotional understanding of the time period. I do not use documentaries because they do not capture the emotions of the people who lived in that time. The movie Cinderella Man is not a sports movie. It is a testament to the Greatest Generation and their determination to drive past their troubles and never give up hope. God Bless the inspiration of James J. Braddock and the message he still sends to those who take time to stop and listen.

I watched Cinderella Man and ý thought he is a special hero.He fought to his life and he became a flash of hope to people.

I have been a boxing fan all my life and would have loved to have seen Mr. Braddock fight. The movie was "Fantastic" as is your sight. God Bless you and Mr. Braddock

I saw the movie for the 100th time, and still I get chills and goose bumbs....thsi guy is truely a REAl hero, and our young kids today should learn about this great man alot more. In fact he should be a learning tool in schools......

i have just watched the film cinderella man and wow he has now just become my new hero, i mean what an inspiration he is.

I am originally from North Bergen, N.J.
Attended high school there with one of the Braddock, 72-76 We played Baseball together he was a pitcher with red hair. I remember him telling me stories about his grandfather while walking to the park to play a Baseball game, "that`s my grandfather`s name on that plaque." 80 st park was name after him.. Now I know how great of man your grandfather was Jimbo.......

Wonderful site is a memorial to Jim Braddock and an education to me. I plan to read the biography and now have a copy of the movie to watch the first time, today. Much to admire in this great man's story. Thank You

Grew up watching boxing every Friday night with my father. Studied the history of the sport. Memorized all the champs going back to John L. Sullivan Loved the movie and story of Jim Braddock and family.

He's a hero.

I enjoyed this movie immensely. The acting was superb by all. I love boxing and have now made James J. Braddock my favorite boxer because he was the perfect example of a man that kept his dream alive and under all obstacles he came through..Bravo Braddock

I was born during the great depression but can recall my father talking about Jimmy Braddock; with a great deal of admiration and probably a bit of envy as well.

Mr. Braddock was of my grandparents' generation, and saw the devastation caused by the Great Depression. They settled in Hackensack, NJ, but were familiar with North Bergen. Although I never heard them speak of Mr. Braddock, it is wonderful to see a movie portraying the realities of the Depression era, as well as the values, character, and patriotism that held families and country together. Instilling these values through these kinds of hardships was something they never thought they would have to see again. How this has changed. I may be the last generation to know of my grandparents' stories of frugality, humility, proper etiquette, and manners. Humanity achieves great things when it acts with honor and valor as portrayed in this film

I too was drawn to this website after seeing the movie. What a wonderful story! The actors played the parts beautifully and I wish there were more like this one. To Mr. Braddock's survivors: God bless you.

The might of having something to fight for is far more powerful than physical capability. A truly beautiful movie that has shown the world of a man who
cast away the darkness of the great depression with his strong hope, faith and love.

My dad was from N.Y and all way talked about the hope that Jame J Braddock gave him back in the 30th.
His family was down but made it back because of guy like your grand dad.Thanks for keeping you grandfater works alive.

In light of the looming economic crisis, this wonderful boxing legend is an example to us all in times of complete desperation. Honesty, humility and sincerity cannot be measured by statistics. His character radiated beyond a dirty ring and still gives hope to many. May God bless the surviving families of an exceptional individual.
