Someone told me to watch this movie because I love movies based on true events. An inspiring movie! The man had the character, class and integrity of which most only dream. What a devoted and loving wife too. Thanks for sharing his life with us. The world could use a lot more people like him. You must be a very proud family. Awesome!

James J...you ARE a big inspiation to all. My mother was of Irish decent and was raised very poor. She was born in 1922 and passed of cancer when I was 16, July of 1980. She identified with Braddock...

I watched Cinderella man tonight for the first time, it was such a moving film I had to read about this incredible man. James is truly an Inspiration to others. His family must be very proud of him.

My mom was born in 1930 in NY. She was the daughter of Irish Immigrants. My mom and I watched Cinderella Man last night yet again and it is still just as wonderful as the first time! My Mom told me that she remembers listening to to the fights on the radio with her father as a little girl. She said Jimmy Braddock was a hero to all the Irish immigrants. He was a household name. She is 77 now and says every time she watches it she remembers those hard but wonderful times and how great a man he truly was! Thank you for giving my Mom those memories.

It's rare that I go on line to read about a character from a movie, but the Cinderella man film I watched last night was superb and I just had to read about the man rather than trust the 'film myth'. Superb acting, directing and production no doubt made the story even more heartwarming, but what a superb gentleman the real Bulldog must have been, ..and his family too. Wonderful to know that such true Champions of Life have been amongst us.

What a story. Superb film and an amazing gentleman. My wife does not like boxing, but realises what JJB did for the sport and most importantly, his family.

Just goes to show that you can be a gentleman & be a world class boxer. Did they break the mould after Braddock & Louis? Both men were a credit to their sport.

I have just watched the film, and words cannot describe for me what a wonderful man he was. It must have been such an honour and a privilege to have known him.
What a wonderful human being, father, husband, son etc, and what hope and inspiration he gave to people in those dark times.
His descendants must be so proud.

Saw the film Cinderella Man for the first time and loved it. I wonder what a man like Jim could have achieved in a different era, or did the hardships he faced make him the fighter he was. Loved the portrayal of his life, what a great guy he was, as well as his family. Found it sad though to find out that little Rosemarie died before her brothers...Good luck to James III and all future Braddock's.

What a great film - definitely the second greatest boxing film of all time. Remarkable man whos loyalty, integrity and sheer tenacity make him one of the 20th centuries iconic working class heroes.
