hello just wanted to say jim braddock is a hero.he was truly a man of belief
and inspiration i think of him when ever
things are hard-and i could see him
fighting for it--thank you again mr braddock for changing my life.

This was a great American movie and a great American. James represented the best in all of us and inspired me to a new level. Every person should see this movie atleast one time if not more. The message is clear you can do just about anything you put your mind to doing. Thank you.

Our class did a report on Braddock and watched the movie in class. It is such a touching story. <3

Saipan, where Braddock was stationed in WWII, is just a couple of hours by air from the Philippines, where James J. Braddock had, at least, two avid fans--my father and me. My father has passed on, and that left only me. But after my wife and friends saw the Cinderella Man, the fan population exponentially increased! James J. Braddock, a great fighter and an even greater human being.

I recently did a report on James Braddock. I had watched the movie and fell in love with his story. He deserves the legacy and is a true inspiration.

I recently watched Cinderella Man and cannot say enough about this amazing movie. Yes indeed! Cannot say enough! I thought it was inspiring filled with hope and courage.

Hi, I have been wached the movie and after that i began a internet searching in google, i feel the legacy of The cinderella Man is an opportunity for all to improve ourselves, he fought agaist all: the poverty, the social discrimination and insanity, but never forget who they were, survivors. its realy a lesson to live.

Hi, My Grandfather, James Sullivan, and Mr. Braddock were friends , and worked together on the waterfront. This is according to James' daughter Helen , who is 93.

I was born August 2nd 1937 in New Orleans,Louisiana.
When I was 5 in 1942 I remember listening to the fights with my Dad on the Radio.
One night while listening to the Billy Conn,Joe Lewis fight I mentioned how I thought Conn must be the greatest boxer where by my Dad shouted ,the greatest boxer is Jimmy Braddock.That was the first Father son discussion we had and I will never forget it.
Conn almost won that fight and Dad said Braddock should have beaten Lewis when they met.Both fights were very close.
Did Conn ever fight Braddock?

Just finished watching the movie Cinderella Man. Knew nothing about this man beforehand and was left shaking by the end. I am very happy that a man like this existed and lived this inspiring and amazing life for his family.Truely inspirational. His family can be very proud of him.

The story of James Braddock is for me an example. Im the father of three children and, although its not possible to compare a so hard period like 1929, i had a difficult period in my life and to see the movie give me courage and hope...always. Thank you Mr. Braddock

I saw the movie Cinderella Man recently and enjoyed it very much. My Dad used to box and taught me (his daughter) respect for the skill, agility and strategy of the sport. The portrayal of James as a husband, father and caring person, in short, his character, is what I will remember most! I don't know if my Dad has seen the film or not. I do know I look forward to watching it WITH HIM in the near future.

Hey Jimmy, I watched your movie and you are a great man! It is not your heroic boxing that got me, but what you were willing to risk to help your family that really touched me. I want you to know that you inspire me and that i am also fighting a battle with addiction, that has affected my family. I am clean and sober almost 3 months now and when i feel like using substance i think of my family and what pain i would put them through if i decided to be self-fish. My God, I just love James J.Braddock.. after watching the movie about his life I just can't stop thinking about him.. It was like when I first saw James Dean, I'm in love with him.. I'm a huge fan of boxing from start with, but I truelly mean that Braddock's my all time favourite! I love how Russell Crowe and Renee Zelleweger play their roles as James and Mae, you know, Renee in half Norwegian:) well, I miss James J.Braddock, and I just saw his match against Maw, and I can only say he was a great,great man..! love from me and everyone who loves him in Norway

What an amazing human being. I have so much respect for him mostly as a father and husband. A man willing to do anything for his family. His love for them really show through in the movie - very inspiring!

After watching Cinderella Man which I believe is the best boxing movie made to date. Really spells out the true meaning of Hero. I only wish I could have had a beer with the CHAMP!!

Just saw Cinderella Man for the first time and not only loved the movie but have become intrigued with the inspirational life of James Braddock. He was a true man of character. Thanks for this fine website!
