just after watching the movie. one of the toughest guys i've ever seen in a ring. reminds me of a man called brendy lovett from garry, another giant of a man. a true legend.

Both Jim and Max Baer, i have watched the films and read all the history on them and i would like to say that unlike todays stars these are true legends and that the modern sports stars should take note. The story of Jim has inspired me that no matter how bad youre luck is you never know what might be round the corner

An inspirnational man

This was a great movie. Very inspiring.I used to box back in the erly to late 80's. And Max was not how he was depicted in the movie but anyway i liked the way Jim lived and his morals

There are some ocassions when you feel tiny seeing how a man can be so enormous just with his heart, family proud and humanity. Nowdays these human values are just lost and having the opportunity of remembering it through this kind of man makes a common person feels alive. Boxing is not for me the best sport but you can love it for a while having the opportunity of seeing how a good man used it to make his family survive and grow. God bless persons like Cinderella and help us to get just a 10 per cent of his suffering capacity

I enjoyed watching the movie and learning about JJ Braddock's life. Before the movie, I had not heard of him. After watching the movie, I am truly inspired. What a great man - a true role model for Americans. He is a man of great character and shows us we should never give up. His family should be very proud.

It's refreshing to learn about true American Heroes - especially in today's celebrity climate. You must feel extremely proud to have been personally touched by such a remarkable man. God Bless!

I've just watched the film "Cinderella Man" on HBO and googled for information on the main character, then I found this site. It was an amazing and exciting film that even made me cry.

One of the greatest boxers of all time and by far the greatest irish boxer of all time.

I OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T KNOW THE MAN, BUT I WATCHED THE MOVIE AND I WAS EXCITED BY HIS STORY. BOXING TODAY HAS BECOME SO BORING AND A NON-ISSUE. NO MORE HEADLINE GRABBING FIGHTS, OR NAMES PEOPLE KNOW. IT WAS THRILLING TO WATCH THE MOVIE AND ROOT AND CHEER HIM ON JUST LIKE A REAL TITLE FIGHT. I COMMEND RON HOWARD ON HIS CHOICE FOR A CHARACTER IN HISTORY TO BRING INTO THE LIVES OF TODAY'S WORLD. I HOPE BRADDOCK'S FAMILY KNOWS WHAT A REAL HERO HE WAS. I'M RICHER FOR KNOWING HIS STORY.

I watched movie 'Cinderella Man' and was looking for some more information about James Braddock and came across this beautiful website. James was great man, hopes of many during hard times of depression. His children would have considered themselves lucky to have such an figure as their father. Hats off to you Sir.

I learned of Jim's story, when watching Cinderella Man: a great movie. It was both heart-warming and sometimes heart-breaking at the saim time. I actually cried at the ending. What a wonderful life. I wish all of you the very best. Sincerely
