My grandfather was JJB's 1st cousin.
Just sreened the movie to my sons & told them the story & their connection. They are awe struck!

I've just seen The Cinderlla Man. I think it's the great movie. Jame J. Braddock is hero and his attempt inspire Americans and my life too.
I really LOVE HIM.

i recently watched ciderella man and i realized what a great man James J. Braddock is. i wasnt very intrested in the movie, since it was all about boxing, but that was before i watched it. i was being judgemental and didnt give the movie a chance, but when i did, i loved it a lot. Crowe can really portray Braddock in such a good manner and tone that i really thought that he was Braddock, and Renee was amzingly schocking. the plot of Braddocks life was amazing and was interesting, and i have to say, that movie was a very good movie, and i learned a lot on the topic James J. Braddock

I JUST WATCHED THE MOVIE CINDERALLA MAN..WITH MY SON'S URGING..IT WAS WONDERFUL...JAMES WAS A GREAT MAN...AND AN INSPIRTATION TO WATCH...

It's fantastic that I can watch the movie Cinderella Man and then find this website and see the actual footage of Jim Braddock fighting. I am anxious to pass along the movie to my 83 year father and show him this website. He grew up watching great fighters and we grew up hearing about them and watching the great fights of the 60's-70's & 80' with the same admiration for great boxers. Thanks for the website!

Although credit must be given to the directors,producers and actors of the movie Cinderella Man,allowing an international audience to capture the spirit and dreams of 1 man during the great depression in the 20,s 30s-it provided the audience to see how 1 man can defeat all odds. Well done mr Braddock for showing the world that there is no strength stronger than the fight from despair and loss. You were one of the best boxers in the ring and you have given the sport unforgettable memories. I feel that you have given more than memories I feel that you gave hope then and now to the many who may require that fighting spirit to regain there goals. Well done Sir.

After watching the movie Cinderella Man, I googled your grandfather and became absolutely struck by what a great man and boxer he was. How honored you must be. He was a product of his time; very different from men today I'm sorry to say. The pictures of your family are great by the way. Thanks for the website...it is a wonderful tribute to Mr. Braddock's accomplishments.

P.S. The films from the Baer fight are simply wonderful to watch. Very nice.

I just wanted to thank you, James III, and your cousin John for putting so much obvious time and effort into this website. The research and photos alone must have taken years.

Your grandfather embodied American idealism and a dogged determination to earn his own way, two things which seem to be in short supply today. Hopefully, this website will serve as a reminder of those important values for all who visit.

I loved the movie Cinderella Man I can see why the country fell in love with him and his family. He is still an inspiration today.

One of my favorite movies and men of all time, i would have loved to meet you Braddock, you were and always will be one hell of a man

i saw the movie again, 10th 11th time, just wanted to say, two men stood up in a time when all things seemed hopeless...and gave the world a brief moment of how the human spirit rises in desperate times, its no wonder people from that era are called the greatest generation.....

back in the time when men where real men...before the don kings of the world took over boxing and drained it of all it is truely meant to be.

I just finished viewing "Cinderella Man." What an awesome film to honor a wonderful man who loved his family enough to take the Heavy Weight World Boxing Championship!! Jim Braddock ROCKED!!

What an honourable man with so much love and courage, if only the world new a few more.

This was a very inspiring man and story. Be proud, you have every right to be. What an honorable man.

The movie and the story reminded me of my Grandfather's stories of those old times. I try to teach my children to be greatful for the times we live in. What an inspiration to all of us. A story for all times, an american classic. What a great man. God bless
