I am watching the movie right now for about the fourth or fifth time and searching for "the real cinderella man" and came across this site. I think it is really cool to see these pictures of Mr. Braddock and his family. I love his courage. He is amazing and we need more people like him in our society today. I always say "they don't make men like that anymore!"

Just watched this movie for the third time, and have been talking about how much I enjoyed it, but this is not just about a good movie in and of itself (although it is great). This is about a true man, who believed in never giving up, and had love for his family in a way that you don't see today. I am inspired and awed by this man's story.

A great movie, a great story, a great man this J.J.Braddock.

I am doing a report for my 6th grade class on James J. Braddock. This website has been very helpful. James J. braddock is awesome!!

I was sad to learn that James' last surviving child [Howard] had passed away. My sincere condolences to his family.

The only saving grace is that Jim and Mae are reunited with the children they loved so much.

My twelve year old son fights in his first golden gloves tournament in a few weeks and J J Braddock is an inspiration to him, he loves the story and the boxer, I hope James can look down from heaven and watch him and see what he thinks, wouldnt that be a nice thought, nite Jim x

James J Braddock lived the life that every red blooded sports person has always dreamed of - to rise from adversity and to not only compete at the highest level....but to win at the highest level, against all the odds. JJB did it with style, grace and humility...and I for one consider myself lucky and priviledged to know his story.

What a wonder ful person Jimmy was. He should be an example of all the young people today....of how a person that was down on his luck, but came back up through dedication, patience and courage. The movie was excellent, as was the production. In addition, this website is awesome, my hat off to the person that created and designed it. This is by far one of the best websites I have seen. Incredible talent!

Never, in my 24 years, has any story inspired me so much. Sure, there is Rocky and all of those fictional stories. However, this is a story which is true, about a man who was and is, true to himself, his family and to all of us. His heart is so strong that it propelled him to the top, in all facets of life, with all odds against him. I love this story and have the utmost respect for this man.

I finally watched the movie, and I never had any movie or story move me like this did.Then I viewed this site .and just to let you know James Braddock still gives people hope till this day' he gave it back to me.Thanks so much CHAMP................

It saddend me greatly to hear of the passing of Howard Braddock.His father was a great man. He was my dad"s hero when he was a boy in the great depression. As mine also

I love to watch movies based on poeple or real events. I thought the movie was really good. But then again it's a Ron Howard film. I like learning, it gave me a better idea of what the great depression was like. Thank you for the movie.

James J. Braddock is truely a hero in every way. He never gave up, he kept his integrity through the toughest of times, he modeled that integrity through life. I hae seen the movie 5 times and each time I am amazed at his commitment to what he believed, and to his family.

The "Cinderella Man" is an inspiration to me and all mankind. He loved his family and would do just about anything to keep them healthy and happy. His wife was a lucky woman - he loved her so, so much and wasn't afraid to show it. Mr. and Mrs. Braddock - hat's off to you and you're family, even in heaven...

I remember years ago of my uncles talking about James J. Braddock about what kind of man he was,as a family man and as a fighter. I never understood what they were talking about until I saw The Cinderella Man. I now know what they meant. The generation of Braddocks that follow should be PROUD of there name.and to what their Grandfather did for his family

This is truely an amazing American Dream Story of a man at the bottom with nothing who rises to the top of his profession with will, determination and heart. This is a story of a man as well that may have the great of us all in him but called it all when needed the most.

I'm am so sorry to read the confirmation of Howard Braddock's passing.

Please accept my sincere condolences.
The only happy thought is that James Sr. has his whole family with him in heaven.

i would like to thank ron howard, russell crowe and cast for making a wonderful movie about a remarkable individual. just like james j's life the effort was truly worth it!!

What an inspiration Mr. Braddock is to the America! His struggles through the Depression show that integrity and hope can and will prevail. He is a true American hero! Thank you for bringing his story to all of us.

Loved the movie .Have seen it 6 times.We watch the video on board the Ship. All my crew loved it as well. He was an inspiration.

James J Braddock is the most kindest yet strongest man I have read about. I wish that all men good be like him. Truly makes me proud to be irish!!!
