Just finished watching "Cinderella Man" for the fourth time. It is ironic that i've grown up minutes from where your grandfather was born and was raised playing in the park that bears his name. I'm almost ashamed that I did not know sooner of his truly heroic and inspirational story. As a competetive athlete, i've never really looked anywhere else but my own heart and soul for inspiration and motivation, but James J. Braddock, wow, what a truly moving and inspiring individual. If I could motivate and encourage 1 person, the way he has encouraged many others, I believe I will have done a good job. I felt the need to share that with all his existing family members. I am sure you are all truly proud of the name you bear.

I would just like to say that Mr. Braddock is the greastest man i never met. Ive seen the movie and i have read 2 books. I have fallen in the with this man. His way of life, morals, and his respect for other people has changed my life. As i read the books and look at the pcturesi cant help feel that in some strange way we are friends. I realy wish that i could have met him. Andi can not beleave that you have live footage of his fights. There are simply amazeing. I would love to learn more about him. Because of im i am now traning to be a boxer. And i hope through my afforts i can make him proud. This is a great web site. He loved his family with a passion other men can only dream of.

For get about naming holidays for presidents, as there should be a "James J. Braddock Day"....for HE was a true hero and inspiration.

As I have only met Jim Braddock one time as a member of the Operating Engineers Union of New Jersey, I knew and worked with his sons Jay, and Howard for many years and must say I was very impressed with Ron Howard's movie of the Champ. Very moving Portral.

I just watched Cinderella Man for the 1st time. It is the most inspiring story that I have seen. I am going to have all of my students watch it to learn of character, perseverance and family values. God Bless.

I lived in north bergen nj during the 60&70s, knew of Mr. Braddock.His story is timeless. I think any man that is a father and husband would be very proud to emulate his values on Family first. thank you for a wonderful movie.

Truly winning the fight was a crowning achievement, but if the movie is close to reality, what made the man great was not winning that fight, it was that day to day struggle that went beyond that fight, like joining the fight in WWII, paying back the government, the way he raised his children, THAT was truly what made him great... I hope that carries to you all, because it won't make you famous , but it sure will make you great too. A true pleasure to have learned about the man.

I just saw Cinderella Man for the fist time --I'm sorry to say, and was so moved by the story of this man. Mr Braddock's purity of intent and genuine love for his family was something I feel honored to have learned about. I hope his children realized how blessed they were to have a father of such outstanding character "fighting" for them through such an inimaginable time, as The Depression. This website is beautifully constructed and will be a timeless tribute to a man his family (and fans) will be proud of, for generations.

I just watched Cinderella Man for the first time tonight, and I'll be honest with you, I cried on several occasions. After the movie I researched James Braddock a little (that's when I found this site). He truly was a great man in every aspect. A man like this deserves to be honored.

I too am a boxer who is getting his second chance, later in life. I watch the Cinderella Man when I need that inspirational uplift. He was a great champion and a true warrior. Thank you to his family for keeping up his website.

Immediately after seeing the movie I found this website to get more information on this amazing human. All men need to see the movie and read his biography to learn from Braddock's example. He is a faithful husband, great father, and most of all, a true man.

He is the real champion in the ring and in the real life. It is inspirational to many people around and will motivate them to never give up in any situation.

James J Braddocks life story is the most inspirational story I have ever heard...the movie was wonderful...my daughters great grandfather was Tommy Loughran...he too was a great man...

The greatest boxing movie ever....

THE MOVIE CINDERELLA MAN MAN WAS INSPIRING. I TOO AM A BOXER AND HEART IS OFTEN UNAPPRECIATED. THATS WHAT THIS MAN HAD NOT TO MENTION THE MOVIE PORTRAYS WHAT REAL FAMILIES ARE MADE OF A STRONG WORKING MAN AND A GOOD WIFE WITH GOOD MORAL VALUES AND LOYAL TO HER HUSBAND AND KIDS WOW WERE HAS AMERICA WENT WITH THOSE VALUES. IF BRADDOCK WAS LIKE THIS IN REAL LIFE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A JOY TO MEET HIS FAMILY AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH THEM. THANKS FOR THE MOVIE REST IN PIECE JAMES.

When I first saw this movie I was inspired. I am in love with this movie. James J. Braddock showed me to never quit even when you are an underdog. I honor Mr. Braddock and his family today and I want to thank the director for making this movie.

My father was telling me this movie was better than the Rocky series. I did not believe him, until I saw Cinderella Man last night. It was a story of what a true man really is. At a time of depression, James took care of his family the best he could and didn't walk out on them. It was more than just boxing to him. It was to put food and milk on the table. What a real man!!! I'm proud of James J. Braddick.

I just saw the movie last night and fell in love with this man. He went and gave back to the government what they had given him. I was never so moved. What a wonderful person he must have been.

Simply one of the greatest men to ever live...His life was truly an amazing and inspirational story.
