I watched the film, not being a boxing fan thought I would not like it, what a story made more wonderful by that fact it was true. Like others, I wanted to find more information about this truly inspirational man and his family. This website is a great legacy to such a great man.

Just watched the film again, wondered if there was a website and now I know there is. What a great man. Well done for the wonderful website.

Cinderella man is one of my fovorite movies. We bought it and I have watched it 5 times.I LOVE that movie!!!

Like Caroline in the UK, I had put off watching the movie because of the principal actors. I finally watched it while visiting friends in Bergen County, NJ over the Thanksgiving Holiday, and I'm so glad I did! What an inspiration. Thank you to the family for maintaining this website.

I've had Cinderella man on my shelf for over 5 months and haadn't bothered watching it as assumed it was just another boxing film and to be honest i'm not a great fan of Russell Crow, but his portrayal of JJB was fantastic. Before the film ended i had to find your site to make sure all ended well. He was truly a remarkable man.

Since the day I have watched Cinderella Man, I have been completely enthralled by the life of James J. Braddock. Have watched it atleast 7 times & love it more every single time. It is impossible to imagine a man overcoming so much in a time like that and winning against all the odds.

I salute his family for standing by him through all the bad times. I honestly hope that his life inspires others around the world to overcome all odds & succeed at whatever they put their mind to.

I only wish that i have a chance to meet someone in my life that will leave me with same feeling as James J. Braddock has . I continue to watch the movie and all the fight films i can find he was / is a true inspiration

My sister ordered the movie for my brother and I. I thought "OK, this is gonna be a boring movie". With each minute, the movie started to get better and better. Before the movie ended, I cried at least 4 times. This is a man (James J. Braddock) that makes you feel like anything can be won if you just try hard and believe in yourself. He has made me curious to want to see his real picture. That is how I came to find this site. His family should feel blessed that they had a man such as he to look up to. Everyone needs to have a man like James J. Braddock in their lives.

I watched the movie Cinderella Man last night and wanted to read some more about James Braddock. Congratulations on a great website, it was wonderful to know the real story not just the Hollywood interpretation.

I am most impressed with the champ and the battles he faced during the depression and the love he had for his family and values he instilled in his children. Your family must be very proud. I've seen the movie 5 times and expect to see it many more.

Just seen the movie last night, it made me cry several times, it had me on the edge of my seat. jmaes g Braddock was a very courageous man, and it was a awesome movie.

Though not a huge boxing fan, I rented Cinderella Man because of Russell Crowe and then fell in love with Jim Braddock's story! Felt compelled to research the life of Mr. Braddock and found your wonderful tribute site. Thank you for sharing with us the inspirational story of your grandfather. I'm enriched.

I have been a boxing fan all my life.
I'm sure Hollywood took some liberties in the portrayal of JJB, however everyone knows how tough the era of the great depression was. The Irish and all should stand tall and be proud
of the man JJB was and how he lived for his family and his country. Are there any more great men who represent their God, family, sport and country?

My dad was born in 1940 in Oklahoma, a Golden Gloves boxer himself as a middle weight. Growing up watching professional boxers like Sonny Liston and Rocky Marciano, I can still remeber dad talking about listening to the Braddock/Baer fight on the radio with his dad. Best fight he ever heard of, wish he had been able to see the movie.

A well written screenplay for a life and time of great desperation and great triumph...worth putting on the big screen. As with film or any art, the story of JJB is moving and will be a classic(I've watched it 3 times), along with the stories of a few other great athletes. Thank you JJB's progeny for sharing your family photos, stories and a piece of this history in the American fabric.

they both stood tall together the life of jim braddock is faith sometimes you get knocked down but it is how you recover that makes you stonger

I grew up most of my life in Jersey City, which is part of Hudson County, N. J. All those years I competed in Track and Field , I never quite knew Braddock Park in North Bergen was named after JJB. After, seeing Cinderella Man, I'm honored to have played sports in that park

I recently saw Cindarella Man and I was impressed with the life of James J. Braddock. He is very insparational and he never gave up because of his family. He did everything for his family, and I loved it when he came across some good fortune he always gave back. We need more people like James J. Braddock in the world today, and if we did this world would be a better place.

I always impressed by the stories of all immigrant families, particularly the Irish.

Your grandfather's devotion to his family is his real legacy.
