I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN WEST NEW YORK, NJ. NOW I'M LIVING IN FLORIDA. MY HUSBAND WAS BORN AND RAISED IN NORTH BERGEN, NJ. WE'VE WATCHED YOUR MOVIE ABOUT 10 TIMES IF NOT MORE, AND I OWN IT. I'M SO INSPIRED BY J.J. BRADDOCK. MY HUSBAND AND I WONDER ALL THE TIME IF OUR DADS OR GRANDFATHERS EVER KNEW OR MET JIM BRADDOCK. I COULD BE CHANGING CHANNELS AND COME ACROSS CINDERELLA MAN AND I DON'T CARE HOW FAR INTO THE MOVIE IT IS, MY FAMILY INCLUDING MY CHILDREN WILL WATCH THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I CAN SAY, MY HUSBAND DID JUST AS JIM DID FOR HIS FAMILY. HE HAS BEEN THAT WAY SINCE I MET HIM. HE WORKED A PAPER ROUTE, LANDSCAPING TO ROOFING JUST TO BRING HIS MOM HOME MONEY FOR FOOD AND BILLS. HE WAS HIS MOMS HERO. HE HELPED PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE AND CLOTHES ON HIS BROTHER AND SISTER'S BACKS...HIS DAD WAS NEVER REALLY THEIR FOR THEM. IF THIS IS EVER READ OR REPLIED TO PLEASE LET US KNOW WHERE THE BRADDOCK FAMILY LIVED IN WEST NEW YORK, NJ. I GREW UP ON 54TH STREET, RIGHT OFF BERGENLINE AVE. MY DAD WAS A STREET CLEANER FOR THE TOWN OF WEST NEW YORK. HE PUSH A BROOM AND GARBARGE CAN UP AND DOWN STREETS. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW JAMES J. BRADDOCK'S ADDRESS IN W.N.Y. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE INFORMATION YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE OR SOME MORE PICTURES OF THE OLD TOWN, TAVERNS, RESTERAUNTS, STORES OR FRIENDS HE WAS IN CONTACT WITH. I WOULD ALSO BE CURIOUS TO KNOW WHAT SCHOOLS HIS CHILDREN WENT TO. I ATTENDED PS.#3 ELEMENTARY AND MEMORIAL HIGH LATER ON... PLEASE RESPOND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THE BRADDOCK FAMILY. THANK YOU FOR LETTING US EXPERIENCE YOUR LIFE WITH THIS WONDERFUL MOVIE!

What a wonderful and great man was Mr. Braddock. He is one of the reasons this country is so great. He was an inspiration to many back in the 30's and i'm sure to many in present day. Again, not only was Mr. Braddock a great boxer, but a great American.

Your Dad was an incredible man and built for a time when incredible men needed to stand tall , as so many did. Under Ron Howard`s directorship his team of people have once again not only found a story worth telling but has brought it to us through his personal incredible insights to story telling , in such as great a light that James J. Braddock lives again for all of us to see. Many thanks to you all for offering us the opportunity to smile about and get to know something of a true man and to the members of the Braddock family who keep Jame`s memory and deeds alive. Simply a marvelous journey !

I recently had the opportunity to watch "Cinderella Man", What an amazing film created by Ron Howard. This movie touched my heart in ways very few films have. James J. Braddock was an amazing Father, Husband, Friend and Boxer. His life story literally broke my heart, but also showed me that determination will get anyone further than they know. I think every person out there would agree they would all love a "Cinderella Man" in their life!! Great Film, Great MAN!!

Just finished watching "Cinderella man" for the 3rd time and I can't help but feel a strong admiration for what Mr Braddock did both inside and outside the ring. What a great message for todays generation to witness what it means to live an ethical, honest, and hardworking life. A great human being in every aspect. I truly enjoyed the Movie and am thankful that I got to "know" Mr James Braddock. It was truly an honor!!

In fact, James J.Braddock had a life in the which valued his/her family, he/she had love to her. His/her wife always supporting and loving him, the financial problems were not reasons so that the home of the family Braddock turned a hell..., there was love in that home, still under "despair" circumstances, there were love and affection in the formation of their children's education, there were Christian beginnings. Different from the families and current couples that get divorced for any reason or circumstance... James J.Braddock's life has a lot what to teach.

a great man, a great movie, surfing the max baer sites it's a little dissapointing how they down played his condition and overall seriousness he had for the fight with braddock, almost taking something away from jims victory, sorry i don't buy it!!! he took it seriously (his title defense) and tried like heck to knock out braddock, fact is ....he lost to a better man by all respects, i don't hink "i can't" was in jim's vocabulary!!!! max baer may have been a stronger puncher, but he could do no damage to jim j braddock's heart!!! a mans man for sure, it shows all of us what determination and a will to believe in yourself can do!!! this man loved his family his country his profession, and did what is lacking in todays society...the right thing!!!! way to go jim j braddock...you deserve every accolade bestowed on you, if insperation is needed in your life watch this movie a couple of times, you may find something within yourself that you didnt know was there!!!!!...and if you do....thank jim j braddock for showing you how it's done......

I was glad to learn the story of James Braddock. I loved the fact he returned his "welfare" money later on. I also researched Max Baer and was impressed and inspired by his life as a boxer and an actor.

One thing that I love about life, is that you never stop learning. I'm amazed that there are so many wonderful stories and events that in 37 years, I have never heard. I almost didn't see this film - because I thought it was "just another boxing movie" - and I felt that Rocky had the corner on that market. While browsing through the channels, I saw the final (literally) two minutes of the movie, and it was enough to make me want to see the whole film. I did, and I am so glad that I did!

I am privileged that Mr. Braddock's story was shared. I've been reminded of the buoyancy of the human spirit, and that I should never give up. I hope that everyone watching this film will feel the same...or something like it!

May God Bless your family. Thank you.

Just saw the movie Cinderella Man and was so impressed by the honesty and integrity of James Braddock. The fact that he brought so many people together during those troubled times clearly shows the need for heros such as Jim Braddock. He instilled confidence and the can do attitude in many people who had given up on life and belief in this great country. His dedication to family is a wonderful example for any dad even in these troubled times Congratualtions to you, Ron Howard and all who were involved in creating this movie. It truly touched my heart deeply.
