I thought "Cinderella Man" was a great movie about a very good man. My only concern about the movie is that Max Baer was made out to be a evil man, which in real life he was a very good man also. If Ron Howard hasnt done so yet, he should apologize to the Baer family.

His life story was very inspiring. I always have been for the underdog.
He was great example of his faith in GOD and love for his wife and family.
He like other great peolple of history overcame many adversities and still prevailed. when ever I face hurdles in my life I think of these people and it helps me to get through the hard times. Thank you for sharing his life story to be anb inspiration to us all,

My Dad, God rest is soul, was a young teen back in the Great Depression. Being a fan of boxing in those day's and through his life, used to talk of Jim Braddock as being his favorate fighter when we would watch fights together. He very much admired him. I know he would have apperciated the movie. I know I have and I now apperciate my Dad's stories of Jam Braddock even more. Thanks for sharing your family's story, and in turn bring back some found memmories of my Dad too.

Thank you so much for sharing your family's life with the world. No story, except those of my grandparents who also struggled through the depression, has inspired and touched my heart so much. I wish our generation could have half as much spirit and unconditional love for each other. Just to appreciate life and have the drive to make the best of it. James Braddock is truly an American hero! Thank you!!!

My father, Dr Alfred B Amler, of White Plains New York, spoke often about the great fights of the 1930s including James Braddock. My father also served in WWII including flying medical evacuation from Saipan. My mother's family, the Handleman's of West Caldwell NJ often spoke about the great Jimmy Braddock. The movie Cinderalla Man certainly brought all these family memories back to me and I am proud to have learned more about James Braddock and his wonderful family through both this website and and of course the great movie. Best wishes. Art Amler- Yorktown Heights NY

While it's great that many people wrote in after seeing the movie, I was always a fan of Jimmy Braddock. As young as I am, I am only 28, I have watched boxing for many years. Mr. Braddock was an amazing man and the sacrifices he made for his family only make him more amazing. Thanks for having such a wonderful site regconizing him.

As a kid I remember my father (James) saying that he was named after a popular boxer who fought the day before he was born. My grandfather was an avid boxing fan listening all the time on his radio. He had planned on naming my dad after the winner of the Braddock/Louis fight in 1937. After the loss to Louis he changed his mind and still named him after James Braddock. Watching Cinderella Man was an awesome movie that reminded me of something said as a kid and can now fully appreciate as an adult.
